definitely shell. Regarding the model, I have found very old Alden shoes with model numbers that don’t match. Ex: an old pair of moc toe Bluchers with model 983, which is currently a full strap loafer. Vintage shoe experts might know when Alden made the model switches.couple of finds from the bins. The Aldens appear to me to be shell, but the model number, 9700E, does not return any results on Google. Anyone have some insight?View attachment 1467561View attachment 1467563View attachment 1467564

Not sure if my finds are inspiring any feelings of jealousy but I promise if I told you how many stops it took to find that stuff, jealousy would not be an issue. The only thing that soothes my nerves after the extreme jealousy aroused by the viewing of these finds is the understanding that most of them are wildly out of my size range. Otherwise I may crack.
I have some of my own to post in a few - some antiquarians as well.
Jeez @florent amazing finds right there. Both Weston penny loafers are amazing! Missed that Seraphin, did you see the Chinese dragon one that sold yesterday? Pretty cool imo but a bit more expensive.(final post)
JM Weston womens x3
JM Weston mens x2
C&J handgrade x2
Berluti for Dior
And a personal grail, absolutely paid up but still under the 10% RRP and way under resale value. They are a bit tight but I'll try to make it work
Thanks! Yeah I saw the chinese style one, Seraphin does some wild stuff for sure
