Most of the furniture you post @330CK I love, but this chair and the way the cushion seems poorly designed makes me think the chair is attempting the Duck Face or has a large nose, haha. But I get it, expensive doesn’t always equate to personal taste preference but does equate to nice money on the flip!

but really, in the right setting this chair works very well. super cushy down fill, too.

Nice! It bothers me to know how much money I have passed up at estate sales because I am clueless in regards to MCM furniture.

tbh I still haven’t fully forgiven you for not just knowing I’ve been on the hunt for a soprano sax

With Vapor (as with many thrift stores) it's all about timing. That Brioni and many pairs of Alden horsebutt have been pulled from the Greystone store. To me, the Greystone store is exponentially better than the larger Vestavia store.
I live in Forest Park, so the drive to Greystone is a hassle. I don't make it often, but when I do, it's all junk.

But did he make the list ?
No, But if he finds a Hutch Trickstar or Schwinn Apple crate, etc it will make the list.
Love a good bike find though.
Not sure if I posted my other C’dale I got at true thrift last week. They’ve had some awesome attempts at thinking more outside the box than most other manufacturers. Definitely Ronald McDonnnald’s racing team colors. Clothing is still mainly non-existent or trickling out very slowly so I’m focusing on other areas for now.
@Nataku you’re on deck, post up your newest vintage audio pornnnography.

Sup thrift thread. I used to post here, back in the old days, back before the world turned sour. Life is different now. It finds me avoiding the usual people, familiar places. I don’t get out much. I try to keep safe. I huddle indoors, pulling my meals from a can, memorizing Back to the Future. Nights, when the moon dips low and the sky snaps shut like a box and I can hear in the far-off distance the siren’s plaintive cries, ever closer, my thoughts turn to the good times. Times of The Thrift. Fingers licked. Men fruiting trees. Times when Canadian men would rise up to right the wrongs of our past, however small.

On this night, a belated shout out to our brother in the north. Look at this majesty! See how it sustains me!

Thank you, Frenchy.

Someday, may we all rise up. May we all thrift again...

Got out on Friday for the first time since March
It's interesting seeing how different people react to social distancing, but overall starting to feel like old times a bit
Noticed that some stuff had jumped in price (looking at you, $16 Zegna tie), but managed to grab these along with some fodder

Unfortunately no size marking anywhere

@SimonC i'll check again. the insoles seem to be glued down, so i didn't pull on them too hard, but perhaps they'll come out easier than i originally anticipated.
Thanks!
