May we (or just I) please see a closeup of the top of one of these shoes? I see the 'rolling' but it seems there is microcreasing in the valleys. I've looked at pictures on the web, but of course it's not possible to ask whoever took those to do a custom closeup. I don't expect to find shell shoes locally, but I'd sure love to be certain I know it if I ever do see it.

You should request the Knowledge Box. Then you'd be able to see first-hand what shell looks and feels like. Seeing a photo is one thing but actually seeing and feeling firsthand it is completely different.

You're in Seattle. Finding shell is 100% possible.

Shell cordovan can look a bit like corrected grain leather, but without the nasty creasing. The waves are something you already picked up on. Shell feels like a very pliable almost soft plastic. A lot more firmness and body to it than calf.

As future recipient #1, I'd be happy to pass the box on to Seattle. Let me know if you're interested...

I believe 10X was their sportsman/hunting line, I believe. Not worth anything really. Good pass.

SO last night I went to AA to celebrate my 20th sobriety birthday...she went to the local GW and found me a pair of Edward Greens...WTF.
However, they are not my size-these are 9D (as hand written) awesome light brown captoe brogues.
Once I make them pretty they will be available for trade.

Thanks Koala! She is beautiful. I am not sure what witchcraft helped me land her. But, lets hope the spell doesn't wear off!
