Damn dude... You're gonna clean up with those.
Beautiful VV ties
Yep... Those are all very desirable patterns and colors. Nice!
Thanks you guys, I forgot to say that they were e thrifted. Still a good deal!
All of the Brioni suits I picked up lacked any Brioni branding on the waistband, and the definite odd trousers had Brioni branding, so I don't think those are orphans.
I hope this is just as desirable as those sweet VV ties.
Anyone like turtle necks?
Not my listing
+1. Brioni is one of a small handful of labels that come to mind (Hickey Freeman, Oxxford, Zegna, ) whose suit pants lack any sort of branding.
A couple years ago (winter of 2012 I think) I went thrifting at a brand new Goodwill in a secret location lol.
I should mention at this stage, I was pretty "green" in terms of thrifting and re-selling. I had only been doing it for maybe 1 year, and was mostly just peddling Talbott ties and Zegnas at that point. I had never seen a VV tie before in the wild, but I had seen them on eBay selling for a good amount at that time. So I walked over to the tie rack in this place, and my heart nearly exploded. The tie rack was PACKED with all sorts of high grade ties. I just started un-hooking them all and dropping them into my basket below by the armful. I destroyed that tie rack.
In the end... I had scored my first Marinella, first Charvet, bunch of nice current Talbotts and Faconnable 6-folds, 9 Salvatore Ferragamos and roughly 35 Vineyard Vines ties. They were all pretty much mint condition, some were even NWT. I ended up selling all the Ferragamos and most of the VV's for something like 10-15X what I had paid during that Christmas. It was awesome.
I pretty much owe that score to one dude: @cpmac7 . For it was HIS eBay links for VV ties that I had seen prior to going into that store. I wouldn't have known they were valuable at all, if I wasn't browsing his tie listings all the time back then. Cpmac7 was actually one of the main eBay sellers who got me interested in thrifting / selling in the beginning, and I looked up to his descriptions and photography skills. I sort of modeled my listings after his for awhile, but with my own style. I liked the way he rolled the ties up, and the plain white background. I had also bought several ties from him, and they were always choice products with fast shipping. Thanks, man.
So I said I sold "most of the VV's". I actually only kept this 1 from that haul. It's a very prized tie in my collection, and will never be sold or possibly even worn.
I just set this as the background on my phone lol.
Seems like a very fitting pattern, as that was the biggest tie score I've ever made, and had me laughing all the way to the bank.
^ awesome room photo wes. Also that louis looks like $$$, and triple patch pocket Brioni
your correct brioni pants that are part of a suit aren't labeled on the liner. That's why finding them when looking for an orphaned jacket can take some time. If the other side of that label says cannes or delta there pants. Also if you ever get a pair that has a single rectangular brioni tag (like inside of jacket) but smaller it's MTM.
I forgot to post these guys I found with the mega haul. NA
Sweet my size.
