It does say something else. Tucker. Not trucker. As in the car, the man, and the movie.

I'm far too busy to post in the thread anymore, but I want to give a huge public shoutout to @drlivingston . I sent him a PM asking to buy some AE shoe horns. He absolutely refused to take any payment at all. He sent me 3 (including an amazing metal one) along with a handwritten note in honestly the best packaging I've ever received from a non B&M retailer. Truly a class act and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again dude!

It can also be a trick depending on the car you want. If you're looking for a newer model Wrangler or 4Runner (which I had looked at for a time) you might as well buy new. This can change depending on the area of the country you live, but it seemed like most 2-4 year old models with 30,000-40,000 miles I looked at may be, at most, $5,000-$6,000 off sticker of a new model. Granted, that's some carrying around money, but I'd say piece of mind in not knowing that a previous owner beat the hell out of it might be worth it. Reduce the risk of any surprises down the road.

On this topic, you can score some good deals at CarMax. Yes, CarMax. When I bought my car there, I grabbed it as soon as I could because it had been optioned to the hilt with about $10k in extra options, but the dealer had it priced the same as all the others of the same year/make/model/comparable mileage.

Yes, I knew it said Tucker like the car. That's why I thought it was cool. When I first looked at it, I thought it said, Fucker!

I believe TaT was a MTM company run my a SFer whose name on here was GetSmart. Not sure if he's still on here. Never seen any in person but have heard it was a good deal for the price in terms of fabric, construction, cut, etc.

Could you talk a little bit more about the reshaping? Is that just letting them sit with the tree for a number of days, or do you add some creme to help them take the shape of the last? Also, do you use the same lasted trees for every pair, or do you have a variety? Thanks, bro!

I have that L/A/D heavy weight and it's awesome!

    Car talk:
There are actually a few scenarios where buying new makes sense. The financing on new is better generally, so if you are only paying 2-4 thousand more for new vs. lightly preowned then the rates can make up for it. Also, if you are looking at something that is only a few years into a model run, new-used prices will be a slimmer gap and buying new makes more sense for quite a few reasons.

With carmax. It is the place, without doubt, to buy anything that has maintenance cost issues. AMG, Range Rover, Jaguar, etc. I wouldn't buy those used anywhere else. At carmax you can buy them and tack on the carmax extended bumper-bumper and power train 6 year warranty (on a Range Rover) for roughly $6k. This warranty covers nearly everything. In the first year of normal driving in an RR, there's a good chance you have more than 6k in warranty work.

Impromptu thrift stop. Only find. I seem to recall someone in the old thread kopped Babar posters. This is a minty 1988 poster in metal frame. Might try to flip, might keep for future use. I always liked Babar anyway.
