Unless the price is too high I would pick up almost anything Patagonia. Can't say I've ever had an issue selling it for a good price.

Guys, any of you know a good ebay (or any other) store that is located in NYC that allow in person visits?
I'm trying to find a nice used suit bellow $150 but I have zero experience in finding good deals. If I could see the stock live, it would be a lot easier to find something that fits.

    Thanks

There are nuances to shape, but measuring yourself, measuring suits that you like and comparing that to the measurements provided by the vendors can go a long way.

I'll pick up a suit from the tailor Friday, it should serve as a measure for me. I'll try to learn how to measure myself too.
    Thanks

Yeah, there aren't a lot of in person eBay stores out there. There are some stores that sell on eBay, but the bulk of their business is done through brick and mortar. As Principle said, you are going to want to measure any jacket and pair of pants you have that fit you well according to these guides:
    http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/clothing/style-tips/how-to-measure-a-jacket/
    http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-I-measure-the-clothing-I-sell-Part-2-Pants-/10000000176067271/g.html

and compare those measurements to the ones provided by the sellers of the suits you want to buy. If they don't provide measurements, don't buy their suit.

What size/style are you looking for? I passed a couple nicely priced, pretty nice suits today and I bet others would be willing to keep an eye out.

Another option, which may push/break your budget, is Century 21. I bought my only suit there and got a pretty decent deal on it. EDIT: Not by this thread's standards :butbut:

I've been to century 21 several times to buy some shirts and I never even thought about looking at their suits. Might go there next weekend to check!

Forgot to answer before, I'm looking for something with size near 40R. Regarding style, I'm not 100% sure how to answer. A nice looking suit that I can wear to work (finance) that doens't look boxy.
