Boutonniere looks like LBM 1911?
Hahaha! That's why I'm glad I put the caveat on my posting...Spoo will know. Even though that Chanel had all the buttons etc, that dot-matrix-looking "97A" on the tag would have made me pass - now I know better.
So, is "Chanel" different than "Chanel Boutique"? I think the OP's tag said 97A, and a quick scan on the 'bay shows only Boutique stuff and a subtly but quite different tag.
Like, here's the OP:

Much to learn I have...
Wow! Nice find! Even cooler 'cause I know you're local, and that midcentury stuff is BIG here, and there are pickers EVERYWHERE looking for it!
I will be saying this even after 25 years on this forum and 100,000 eBay feedbacks.
I keep looking at that damn tag! Maybe it says "87A". Shit I wish there was a clearer pic. This is bugging me, cuz I might have passed something legit thinking the tag was off.
Oh, I thought Eidos had the bullseye lapel pin. That makes more sense.
They dont really make mens stuff for the mainstream. One of my shops last year received an enormous shipment of Current/Elliott samples, including a ton of mens stuff that had been Im guessing designed for them to launch a mens line that never happened. Probably 30-ish pair of mens jeans, and 20-30 shirts, mostly BDs, some Henleys, and other stuff.
Here's a better pic. The quality of the garment itself is really nice, which is why I grabbed it. I have idea what I'm looking for label/tag-wise.
I will continue to defer to Spoo - but that "97A" font looks off to me...plus the points I made in my first reply re: fold, capitalization, Boutique etc ...but if Spoo legits, then it's too legit to quit, and I got some new Chanel tag knowledge.
Yeah LBM. I'm still way too cheap to do Eidos/retail.
Crazy Patchwork Batik and Woven Shawl Cloth Jacket, with full floral Batik lining.
Its too legit to quit. That was right before they switched to the newer (now older) tags. The smaller Chanel label is mostly reserved for pants and shirts, but Natakus piece had two parts to it - so both pieces caught the little tag. Boutique is no longer used and does not have an implication (AFAIK) on anything either stylistically or construction wise.
Well done sir!
Looks like we've been going in opposite directions. I guess I'll take this as a sign that I need to get rid of the 40R bb vintage 3 piece I have.
...and a belated follow up: congrats to Nat on scoring some legit Chanel! Money...
