1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Off the top of my head not sure what was what; I picked up several pairs and more today. Most or all are headed to ebay.

Bob Hope! I was into sort of underground music when I lived in Madison WI - all the stuff Butch Vig was doing, bands from Mad and Milwaukee, that scene. I dug out the Appliances record several years ago and wondered what SFB stood for, so I called Smart Studios and Shirley Manson answered (it was like 2am). She took a message and fricking Butch called me back. Stands for Stupid Fucking Bastards.

Fishbone was way cooler to hang out with, tho.

    Did you know...

    - new wool is wool taken directly from a living sheep and previously unprocessed. No recycling, repurposing, etc.

    - lambswool comes from the first shearing of a young sheep, typically 7 or 8 months old

    - virgin wool comes from a sheep that can run faster than a sheep herder

Picked up this pair of pants today. Rough wool texture, nice pattern.

Is this Eton legit? Tag says made in Sweden but none of the ones on ebay had a tag like this.

Also, is the quality on these types of Gitman the same as the stuff they make for there own label?

Rule # 147 of thrifting. Don't pick up stuff that you don't know about just because it's cheap.

If something costs less then the amount of change on my floor I'll risk it. I bought a New England shirt co. Shirt because I had never seen a made in New England tag and it seemed nice.

You know what, we all said that at the beginning. I could probably go back a year or two, and I said the exact same thing.

What ends up happening is you have a whole bunch of crap. It just sits there, and the money really adds up if you go often. Be smart with your money.

Maybe take that floor change and put it into a piggy bank [IMG]

For flipping: I think that's right up in the top five of rules...not way down at # 147.
For self: no rules. If I like it, and it's cheap, all the better.

+1. Honestly, even picking up the nicer stuff, I've got quite a bit of inventory right now - to the point where, even though 20+ items sold tonight, it's not enough. Need to move more inventory soon!

I did look at ebay and a similar jaguar corduroy sport coat sold for $70,'so it wasn't completely blind. I just don't know much about it.

Also, this is a charity thrift store so it's not a total waste of money.
