Ok, so here is the deal on R13, because I've actually dealt with them a lot, and have deconstructed a pair. They're mainly a women's jeans brand, ok quality, most stuff is made in italy. Some made in japan. Japan is better, but meh. I can pick up a few pair at one shop for 10$ nwt.

Two weeks ago, I saw goodwill employees hurry a homeless women out of the store because she did not smell good. She was there shopping just like everyone else. Then they made fun of her after she left. I don't think I will be shopping at that location anymore.

Thanks Takai, that's really helpful and good to know. For my own education, is it the denim or the construction that's just meh, and in what way? The NWT japanese pair were £7 so no big deal.

You'd make any brand look exceptional the way you set things up. Amazing man.

The amount of truth in your paragraph varies widely. If this is an issue for anyone here, I encourage you to read about your LOCAL Goodwill organization. Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee happens to actually do a ton of good in the area. When my wife was a social worker she did extensive work with them on the unemployment front. I have also read nightmare stories about other Goodwills across the country so I can't refute what you're saying on a global basis. Unfortunately from what I hear, your stories tend to be true more often than not. Will just depend on your area.

Edit for the sake of clarity: not intended as an attack on you @PLaydice as I'm sure it's true for your area and many others.

You are right! @capnwes takes some fantastic pictures. I wish my stuff looked half that good.

    That plaid JAB is great!

Handsome looking trunk... But did someone paint over all the original finishes? That front plate has some thick brush strokes... I wonder if that Goyard pattern is under there somewhere.

Yeah, I've got to get the paint off. the trunk (i think) predates the pattern - thank goodness i have this one for that :nodding:
