In the process of purging my entire tie collection, and these ended up being the only keepers. RLPL is true thrift, and I like it because it's slightly wider than your typical knit. Drake's are discounted/e-thrift at super koppable prices. I like the Drake's because.. grenadine.

@thriftvader would you be kind enough to repost your tie stain removal method?

Well, the wife is out of town for the week, so I'm taking the opportunity to thrift every afternoon (except tomorrow) at my favorite stop. So I"m trying to be selective and not grab the same stuff I usually do. Which led to me passing through the tie section pretty quick, passing over the same old crap as usual. Until I get to the last three ties. Literally the last three I was going to look at. Triple pop.

Didn't find much menswear that I thought worthy, though the shirts did well.

This one is a bit of a mystery. The tag was cut off, but the fabric feels vintage, the stitching is correct, and the obvious dates on the shirt indicate that it's actually old. BUT, the shirt is sewn together in a very odd way, with weird seams that make it sit crooked on the hanger, and the screen-printing is THE WORST I've ever seen. It's thick rubbery ink so it feels quality, but there are uneven edges like it was a hand-cut stencil, there's lots of little imperfections. It just looks like a homemade or counterfeit shirt. Possible? is there a market for vintage counterfeits?

Now it's not quite yet the season and the tie is not a pop but I liked the christmas trees + navy blue. Will probably wear it at the end of the year for fun

Brooks Brothers tuxedo - Made in USA - Shawl collar
I picked up the orphan jacket first and found the matching pants quickly thereafter. The outside looks clean but the lining is ripped at the left sleeve. Nothing big as far as I can tell but I'll have to get it fixed.
Surprisingly my size [42R jacket- 33W pants] (pants slightly tight at the waist but good fit and length)... and I don't have a tuxedo... so I'm keeping it I guess...

Wow, I had that exact tee as a kid, @Sleeves345 . On the off chance that it's in the L-XL range and available, please PM me and I'll make it worth your while.

On the subject of ties, I probably have one of the smaller collections on here seeing as I hardly ever wear them. Maybe once or twice a year. I keep a small handful of ties I am really partial to. The two Talbotts make beautiful knots, as does the Seaward and Stern wool. All true thrift.
