It's worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it.
I picked up a Prada suit from Linda Stoof. She listed it as preowned, but upon close exam, the sleeve tag near the cuff was still in place on the jacket and the pants were unhemmed. Waiting for delivery of a hopefully new Prada suit!

I pretty much always pass these up, but this one is unworn, so....
I think some of the only Hermes ties that are worth $100+ in excellent shape are the super "Quintessential" Hermes ties, that are Orange and White. I sold one awhile back for $129 and it was Orange with White chainlinks. It sold somewhat quickly. There's also some of the more "whimsical" prints with animals, etc that are worth a decent amount... But generally most Hermes ties are worth about $30-60.
i'm a little confused... what do the ebay listings (which i assume are counterfeit) have to do with the realreal listing? i assume counterfeits are based on a real garment to begin with... is it clearly a fake?
sorry, not trying to be dense, i just don't know all that much about Loro Piana, tbh. i've only ever found the one.
That has got to be the ugliest "loro piana" ever
They're all fakes. Loro Piana never made a jacket like that, and some chump bought one, passed it along to TRR who are also chumpy on this one. Which is to say: all their other stuff is probably legit, but they let this one slide right on in.
Edit to add: I've bought a few things from them that were 100% legit and I know others have as well. That jacket is not.
Good info. Thanks!
aha, got it now
Monday's be like...
That is awesome, but why pass on blanket lined Lee Stormriders (unless they're obviously not pre 70's)? I've had great luck with ones from the 60's that had been worn.
Always too recent, cheap and too worn out. This one is not.
If you run across a busted older one(the older and more trashed the better) In about a 38 or a 40; please let me know. I've been dying to patch up a jacket for myself.
