    I want to thank you so much for keeping my baby feet in mind, however, I just cannot get behind 90s basketball shoes. I'm a runner guy at heart, except for grail status Jordans. haha

    I think Spoo sold one for like $20 or something and it was a running gag circa 2 years ago?

    @thriftydood

    those redlines look good from here

    i'm looking at the overall cut, there's a real nice 'carrot' taper that you'd expect to see...

    the roping on the hem is really nice... i can see some twist down the leg... what are the actual measurements?

    you wanna look at things like the bartacks at the belt loops, make sure the rivets and buttons look right... just make sure nothing looks too sloppy or off. nothing should. see how the black ink is starting to fade before the red ink? that's the kind of thing you would expect to see on legit levis.

    i've seen the same sort of markings on the inside.

    later part of redline era, so i'd say 1976-early 80s.

    the other thing to look for as far as dating these are the double row of stitching at the end of the waistband next to the top button. i think in the 60s it was a single row, in the 70s you see a mix and then i have a pair from the 80s where they apparently went back to a single row. for what it's worth a few of mine have indigo stitching here but i also have some 70s jeans with yellow stitching as well. i'm not 100% sure when they started with that double row but i think it was the later part of the 70s as well. hope that helps.

    also, the indigo is nice and dark and highly desirable, and they're in a great size to boot.

    Oh, yeah, forgot about that...how did that go again. I forget the context.

    I know he just sold some Shantung ones recently.

    It was somewhere in the $100+ range for that Pulitzer IIRC. I want to say $108.

    I was thinking $46, which I still thought was a ridiculous sum. Now we anxiously await Spoo to weigh in with the answer.

    And just like the Frank Costanza/Pierre Cardin line goes through my head each time I see the label, every time I see a Bert P, it's "hey, another Bert Spoolitzer!"

    I ocassionally pick up Berts and Ferrell Reeds for myself, because they both have nice neat patterns, but I don't try to sell them.

    This also happens to me... Also whenever I see J.peterman items, I hear that guy's voice. And I don't have to tell you what I hear when I see Steve Madden shoes... [IMG]
