Split the difference and come to Virginia. Mild weather almost year round. What can I say, I love it here.

Thread relevant question: Has anyone ever had custom lenses made for sunglasses? I thrifted a nice pair of metal aviator frames but they have some old trifocals in them. Want some glass (preferably polarized) lenses put in. Google shows me some options, but wondering if you gentlemen have any experience in this?

Jesus. That sounds awful. I never thought about how far North Japan is. At least it isn't Alaska.

an optometrist should be able to do this for you, even if you don't wear a rx. I'd ask around.

I got lenses made for a pair of vintage Versace sunglasses that had rx lenses, took 10 minutes and cost about $50

Not sure how a NWT Filson 256 Briefcase makes it to half price at GW, but I'm not complaining

A few finds from the week:
1933 Dated Tuxedo Tailcoat. Even though these aren't really that valuable, I love to help preserve things that are so old.

I left this record at a thrift because of a long line:

Sorry. 100% disagree. I'm a summer beach bunny. If it wasn't New York I would have moved to a caribbean island years ago.
