    you can look for a long long time for a leather jacket that fits well and never find it... if you like it then great! i think it fits pretty good!

    i feel like $300 for imported Boss leather is a little dear, but i'm a tightwad lol and i enjoy the challenge of making shit work... that said a jacket that works in hand is far better than chasing some rainbow. how many dudes pay over a G for something that fits funny? and, you can always trade up if you get snobby later lol

    as to the jacket bleeding in the rain, isn't that true of a lot of things? you might not want to wear leather in a thunderstorm in any case, it could come out 1000% cooler or it could be ruined...

    Believe I may have purchased a fake Ferragamo. I found the blue one first (which looks legit) and didn't look the red one over as well. The logo stitching on the red tie looks off, and the cursive writing has a space between the "L" and "V" in Salvatore.

    HOLY CRAP! I've been dreaming of finding an Orvis Bamboo rod for years. They have tremendous collector value. Last time I checked they were like $500-900+ for really nice examples. I have no clue about the others, as I'm not a huge flyfisherman... But I know that a vintage Bamboo Orvis is like gold. Hang onto that thing.

    I suspect the others could have high values as well. Having the original tubes is a huge advantage in being able to research / sell it, if that's what you plan on doing. Killer haul mate.

    Big shoutout to SPOO for the Leroy Neiman book. Here it is

    I have 5 or 6 others but they are in boxes at the moment.

    If anyone sees the three matching books of prints broken down by decade I would be interested in proxy for a nice gift.:slayer:

    Thanks! Had five people come up to me asking about them while I was still in the store. I got a PM from a member here who's going to help value them, but from the looks of it, I think that bamboo Orvis is from August of 1971 per the serial number, and the Orvisco Glass rod is from May of 1955 per the serial. It came from the estate of a person whose networth had at least eight, if not nine figures, so I imagine he didn't skimp.

    Now I just want to know where the rest of his fishing gear went! There had to be reels, flys, gear, etc.

    Yeah, those pairs were too rich for my blood though. I got these six trousers for the price of one of the hertlings. That stores pricing is insane. $200 oxxford, RLPL, etc,$165 Allen Edmonds. Ugh.

    A couple of interesting passes today.

    Hello 70s:

    This was odd. Triple patch pocket Bills sportcoat and pants...is this a Bills suit or did he match the pants to the jacket? The jacket is totally unstructured and has an "American sportcoat" tag, while the pants just have the regular Bills tags (waist size and style, which is M2P). Because of that inclined to think the previous owner paired them up, but I have no idea.

    Nice haul! All from the same store? Their pricing is crazy high and I was on the fence for a bit, but I'm in the process of upgrading my winter biz cas, so I couldn't pass those wool guys up since they fit. The cotton I maybe should've passed on, but they'll be great in any case. Better than paying retail...

    Were you there early today?

    @winny94

    I'm no expert, but I'm almost positive Bill's sells suits. That looks like it was made by Hardwick (purely based on things like pocket shape and the retail).
