Um 30 stores and 400 miles.

If the loop was smaller I can usually do 18 stores in a day, but honestly the last 4 or so are tough to get through. So exhausted.

When you can't find anything at thrifts, try discount stores: (all a little over 80% off retail)

Canali with a tiny little run in it I later found

30 stores? Damn, that's awesome. I'd have to clear Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland to pull off something like that.

Hmm, I don't have anything planned for next weekend...

I've seen at least one or two Tom James garments that I would have bet my paycheck were Oxxfords, if you'd removed all the labels. Same droopy notch lapels, same extra-long lapel buttonhole with the same kind of buttonhole stitch, same partial lining with the inside of the pockets bagged out and trimmed in the exact same way, same pants with only a half waistband in front and curtain lining. Those things are distinctive and I haven't seen them done the same way on anything else BUT a few TJ garments. If no TJ suits are made in Oxxford's factory today, some must have been at some point.

There are also other TJ jackets that appear to be like Oxxfords at first glance - lapels are similar, long buttonhole - but upon further inspection they turn out not to have nearly as much handwork. Still, the similarities imply there's more of a relationship than just common ownership. Maybe they employ the same patternmakers?

Dude, Quindici is not settling when comparing to almost any brioni or kiton tie. I've seen a lot of all of those and they don't come close imo.I just wore one to my sisters wedding and honestly I felt like guys couldn't even look me in the face they just kept looking down at dat quindici!

Ok....so my next step should probably be go back and track each member who offered these items for the box and have them mail the sample to me for assembly?

I'd just make an announcement here and have people PM you if they are sending stuff to you so you can send your address. You pick a cutoff date where people have to mail things by. I think the box will grow over time as people add things to it when they get it.

You could also make a list of the people that will be in on the game, and maybe the order the box should go? Then we all stick to it with no whining or complaining. Also we sign an oath that if someone steals the box we all shrug our shoulders and move on. [IMG]
