    thanks so much to @John Sullivan for some fantastic NOS Wrangler Dungarees! They fit great! My wife said she really likes how they fit and they are better than my regular jeans. I didn't know my wife liked Cowboys! But, she is from Oklahoma! I guess I better start looking for a belt buckle and driving my old work truck more often!

    Does anyone have a rugged boot-- a la RW Iron Ranger--or maybe even the genuine article somewhere in the 10-11 range (trade/purchase etc)? Shoes are proving to be a difficult thing to thrift.

    :slayer::slayer::slayer: Nice! That would make a great candidate for the SW&D DIY thread...

    @Principle

    i often see RW at nordstrom rack for pretty good prices...

    if you look around for awhile they can typically be had for 30-50% off retail...

    that said, i've been thinking about moving on from my Beckman moc toe (11d), but they will need a resole at some point soon if you wear em very regularly. if you buy 2nd hand, be aware that resoling runs like $90 or so iirc and the crepe sole in particular does not last that long with any mileage. if you do resole, there are quite a few options.

    If only Dainite were available to the public--I don't care too much for the crepe soles either. Do you recommend going to a brick and mortar location?

    Just grabbed enough for my next 3 divorces. Maybe a couple of traffic violations, too, if you accept croc/gator[IMG]

    yeah, but a little due diligence online never hurts neither. i've used the LVC stockist list to corner smaller etailers that carry RW. I've seen some good deals online but you gotta dig. good luck!

    Here's an E-Thrift Brag. Its not quite as good as finding $1000 items in Linda's store for $100, but still a great buy.

    I saw a really nice looking pair of vintage Florsheim Wingtips that were described as Brown and were listed as LEATHER. They caught my attention immeadiately and they had a V Cleat. But, they looked a little too shiny to be Shell Cordovan. I wasn't convinced, but I was watching them. They had some bids. They were described as 11 in the title and in the questions and answers it said, THESE SHOES ARE NARROW SIZE. I emailed the seller and she said they were C width (which is what I usually wear). I don't need more Florsheim Wingtips. I think I have 4-5 Black, 2 Shell Cordovan, 1 Cognac Brown and I think a few others that I haven't been able to convince myself to sell. During an exchange of PMs about his shoes, @drlivingston pointed out these shoes again and said he thought they were shell. That had me convinced. I just got them today and they definitely shell and definitely VERY NICE! I knew they were shell the instant I saw and felt them in person. Then, I saw 93605 inside and it was confirmed. If the seller knew what they were doing, they could have gotten A LOT more. I sold a pair like this last year for $200.

    The good and bad is they fit me perfectly. They are nicer than 1 of my other pairs. I was hoping to sell these! Oh well, I'll sell my other ones.
