What size is this? Complete suit or just the jacket?
Was a complete suit, but wrecked with moth holes, only saw them when i got home (atleast 6)
Booooooooo! I hate when that happens, on such a cool suit no less.
all good, i thought it was funny, wasn't trying to stir anything up
This reminds me of the Corneliani jacket I found with a Made in England neck tag. The neck tag was a replacement as per thread consensus, and it would seem your Corneliani keeper is as well.
But still a nice tie!
That's the same brown ISAIA cotton grenadine I found at the outlet.
Stumbled across some Filson cords and dress shirts "made in China". I passed on them but was curious if they flip well/at all. The only Filson I have sold has been made in USA outerwear.
We all know the feeling; that spike in heartbeat when pull back yet another London Fog trenchcoat and hit Something Big:
And if you're me you make this kind of strangled grunt when you realize the neck thing on the rack is a matching vest. Both womens L, I believe. N/A
Pop pop! Ripped the rest of the store apart looking for more but no love.
Not even my favorite find of the week; that superlative goes to these beautiful bastards-
NOS Florsheim Imperials, black pebble grain. Another pop- believe it or not, this is the first pair of florsheims I've ever picked up. The guy ahead of me in the shoe aisle picked these up and put them back again. I was on them with a quickness. I honestly want to like put these behind glass, they're just magnificent. Not so much as a crease.
A good month in the NOS black pebblegrain longwing department (an oddly specific dept):
Vintage military greatcoat. Thing is built like a tank. Going to a buddy of mine so n/a
Orvis quilted wool/cashmere vest, lots of nice details.
Dunhill gray wool suit with lavender windowpane (and lining. Pants not pictured). Made in spain. Pockets all basted and fabric in the pocket, so it seems as though it might be NWOT despite the wrinkliness.
Charles Tyrhwitt staple gray wool suit. English cloth, made in Malta.
Otherwise it was a been had kind of week.
Been had really old PRL green label tweed, made in USA. 40-42.
Been had shirtweight pink/green madras jacket thing, made in USA. L, fits ~42.
Been had slubby silk (possibly a blend with wool or linen) tweed sc, made in USA, "guaranteed to wrinkle". 42ish
Been had uber recent (I hate that fucking tag) flannel suede patch, n/a
Been had made in USA navajo henley n/a
been had made in usa heavy-ass nautical long sleeve knit
been had made in usa terry-cloth cotton polo with mops, n/a
been had hand knit v-neck sweater vest n/a
Some cool made in the USA sportswear for personal use:
Champion heather gray cotton tee.
LL Bean cotton/Rayon logo tee. Unduly thrilled about this pickup - it really encapsulates my fondness for vintage LL Bean gear.
2x NOS fruit of the loom sweatshirts, MIUSA. Both will be fall-winter workout go tos. One will have the sleeves cut off, for maximum 80s affect.
Calvin Klein Collection linen tunic type shirt. Great color, fits well. n/a
VV tattersall, bay-bound.
Onyx cufflink/stud set. No sure if the genuine article or not, but should serve for now. Seiko lizard skin watchband, for my Tissot once I get around to replacing the battery. And a silver plated cigarette case, by Polo (not 100% sure if an RL product), made in England. This last was an ethrift.
This week in Is It Real: Zilli tie and pocket square. They seem to match up with what I can find online, but I'm still not sure...
And one big-ass matisse print that struck my fancy:
Good luck out there gentlemen, may the thrift gods be ever in your favor.
edit: @PGRoadhouse jelly of a lot of that pick-up but especially jelly of that LL Bean tee. Woow. I've got that same fondness for Bean.
...and don't stop until you get to Tennessee.
Here's a tie I scored. Unfortunately the only tag is the one pictured. Any insights? Drakes? Grenadine? Fingers crossed...
I picked up some made in China chinos from them, I'll let you know how they flip.
Dang @PGRoadhouse . Dang.
MD for Michael Drake.
