That jacket is glorious. Congrats @impuntura on the insane find(s) and thanks @SpooPoker for the (on-point as always) fit pic. This really made my morning.

My question @SpooPoker , how the always perfect tie knot/dimple? I allllways have to re-do my four in hands.

I literally never fuss about my knots. I do them once and that's it. Takes all of 20 seconds lol. Just practice.

Also helps to have high quality ties... Sometimes when I try to tie Talbotts, HF, BB ties... they sorta "fight me" and end up looking crappy. Then I grab a Zegna, Isaia, or Kiton... and they just knot so beautifully right away. There really is a difference.

@Cj52racers Sometime this December Val and I will be taking a drive up to Indy proper; and I'd love to get some snow under her tires. So I'll likely abandon the wonderful family togetherness time at some point and take a little drive, and shoot for a meet

I call this look "Mortuary Casual to the tune of 'it's raining outside"

    Shades: Persol
Jacket: Hickey Freeman by Caruso; unstructured Linen with LP Storm System
    Shirt: Jack Spade MIA line
    Tie: Charles Hill for Kilgour
    Pants: Billy Reid
    Shoes: Heschung Rhus
Errything but the shades were thrifted.

    Car: Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas

Oddly enough, I was the only person not working for the funeral home in both jacket and tie; basketball jerseys and cargo shorts were very popular.

I was asked by a fellow member about umbrellas, specifically from Kirchtag in Salzburg. I happened to hit on one that is 50% off and wondered whether there would be any interest on a group buy? I could order them here and send them to someone in N. America that could then distribute. Not completely cheap (€119 each), but not bad for a high quality umbrella. I do NOT own one of these (so no personal experience), but have a couple of very nice umbrellas. I can honestly say that a nice umbrella is a world of difference between a cheap one.

    Here is the link: http://www.servusmarktplatz.at/ser/handgefertigter-regenschirm-SVSM109660-9.html

The description is in German, but here are the basics:

Robust umbrella from Kirchtag, genuinely handmade in a traditional manufacturing style in Salzburg. The wooden thing (what's it called again?) is rubbed with linseed oil, dried for a long period of time, hand sanded and assembled. The 8 piece canopy is made from a high quality synthetic material. Diameter is 100cm.

Let me know if there's any interest!

    Edit:

Here is a photo, but watch the video in the link. It's in German, but you'll get the idea.

As originally from Indiana, this is pretty accurate. Ill fitting short sleeve button up shirts are about as formal as it gets.

Fashion died here sometime around 1975. If I wear a jacket over a t shirt people ask if I'm dressed up for something.
