Question about the gift exchange:

If anyone happens to have a thought/opinion on the matter, I'm all ears.
When we were collecting money for the Wes grill fund (Wendy still sux), I set up a completely separate PayPal account (you are allowed two) to deal with those funds and those funds alone. It worked perfectly without any income tax nightmares.

@HansderHund

I say let people make their own donations, but have them post a screen capture of the donation record showing who they donated to.

Nicest pair of AE Bridgetons I've seen. But no idea on that grainy leather. Any ideas? 0089 code from inside is not helping.

Edit (thx Dr. L): additional numbers are:
14B 27092 8
0089 COMB 1621
These were made in 1990-1991. The uppers are not exotic, just embossed calfskin. Like you said, though... they are the nicest Bridgetons that I have seen.

Never a dull moment on this thread huh?
It's been a summer of pleasant dribs and drabs without any really bonkers single stops or grail finds. But fall is here, and the coat and sweater racks are no longer depressingly understocked - it's only a matter of time.
For starters: sweaters, sweats and tees
IMG_2668.jpg

Some personal pickups - the Left Field pocket tee was a nice surprise, as was the nwot Zegna Sport. Swiss wool/cotton rollneck has a great fit and is the perfect shade of red to ensure the search party finds your body after a skiing accident or avalanche.
IMG_2669.jpg

I've wanted a linen t shirt for the longest time, go figure I find one as the summer ends
IMG_2638.jpg

hard not to love sulka knitwear - perfect gray shade with ever so slightly unusual proportions
IMG_2639.jpg

not the REAL right polo, but right enough
IMG_2533.jpg

a miusa medley
IMG_2520.jpg

american giant full zip, FBI hoodie, vintage kentucky horse park, vintage fantasia mickey
IMG_2522.jpg

wolfpack! alaska, endangered, and 90s chintz varieties
IMG_2661.jpg
piece on the bottom is the clear standout (and a keeper) - great motif and it actually has pockets!
IMG_2662.jpg

some fall basics
IMG_2523.jpg
J crew navy down puffer, womens helmut lang moto sweat, and a baby alpaca cardigan for my mom
IMG_2524.jpg

rollnecks in various shades of streetwear
IMG_2647.jpg

'lo sport arctic challenge and "sportsman" wool hand knit, plus a cotton blend number from stone island
IMG_2648.jpg

and finally some more traditional, eurocentric knits
IMG_2664.jpg
Scotland, france, and ireland in scarlet, indigo, and oatmeal aran (crazy soft hand on the inis).
IMG_2665.jpg

that's the lot! next installment will be shirts, pants, and light jackets

Can someone explain how to value old Harley tees? I regularly see some from the '80s/'90s go for $20 and others for $150. Is it all based on graphic? I feel like there's something I'm missing..

There is some cool stuff in there, especially since finding decent Tees and knit is rare
