thing about vintage is most of the time you can legit say 'they don't make em like they used to' but by the 2000s the exodus of domestic production to cheaper locales, materials, and construction was in full swing. i've been scratching my head trying to remember a mainstream product that objectively still stands up in terms of quality and flavor... hmm...

Everything looks right to me, movement seems correct and quality is there. Does anyone see anything that I'm missing? I'm going to open it up to be certain but I need get my hands on a tool that'll work without scratching it first.

Hope it's real, but the writing on the clasp looks off to me.

pretty good week for me. best i've had in a while. here are some highlights. everything true thrift, ppu: ~$7

lulu 1/4 zip, cp company / Massimo Osti

sammy silk wool linen, susu and sid shirts. susu is pretty nice cotton/linen mix

sc's: ludlow brown cord, older corn and zegna but both dual vent and cash mixes

suits. nice recentish oxxford light gray sharksin (?). recent boss suits make for good fodder

more scs. sammy is another wool silk linen with nice blue overcheck. older zegna and unvented but didn't want to leave 100% cash

this thing is a beast. prl madras zip jacket made with what feels like shirt material

alden pebble all weather walkers in pretty good condition. 10.5D Barrie

this was a treat. not one but two filson outerwear pieces.

khaki tin cloth plaid line shacket. weighs like 3lbs

and this bad boy. made in usa yukon wool field jacket

and of course, this was the highlight of my week (outside of the furniture), which i posted earlier. slightly better pic. 42R but has some short arms
