1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Couple of good steals this week at a local Nordstrom Rack. Santonis at deep discounts. The FAM double monks were 108 and the black apron toes were 85.

    Having another great weekend!

Props to @ChetB and @SpooPoker for getting me set up with awesome shoes and a blazer for my interviews. I accepted the offer yesterday! Dressing the part really helped out in the interviews so I'm super grateful!

Now to the photos from best to bestest!

I may have posted this before but it sold, issues and all. Super vintage Tori Richard. I spent my earnings from the dress on this for my daughter: Dr. Martens Hot Pink Delaney Patent Boots (but slightly used from eBay for half the price!)

Now for the score of the night:

Sigma Phi Delta Fraternity of Engineers - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigma_Phi_Delta

The inner tag says something like "chas Stumpf" and "Milwaukee"

The Marquette University chapter started in 1931. I can't find another one like this anywhere. Does anyone have an inkling of what the era might be on this one? I'd say anywhere from the 30s through the 60s maybe?

two days ago: going down the suit/sc rack, old dude sees me and starts going from the other side. two jackets in he snatches one and tucks it his arm. i pass him as he's in line to check out and see that white "made in italy" label staring back at me. fml. i tell him it's a nice jacket and ask if i can take a look. recent brioni cash. ugh...i'm still kind of on tilt about it. it's what i get for getting complacent and not taking a scan first before diving in.

finds from this week, ppu $5.40:

Don't think this one is worth a ton but it still had the fold lines from the package.

PRL 67 RL Academy "Ralph Lauren Fine Naval Tailoring" OCBD. I had never seen this combination of badging.

Not much out my way - basic fodder - but did find these bad boys...not in the best condition, but pretty cool.

So after a long hiatus, I hit a couple stores again and had my first thrift battle in a long while. I found a vintage Nike sweatshirt, made some sort of exclamatory noise, and looked up to see this young dude in Jordans wincing at me. He practically ran to one end of the T-shirt rack, so I started on the other and tore through that thing with lightning speed. We met in the middle, both empty handed, and laughed and compared notes. So much blood in the water -- but it all turned out to be that unfortunate kind of High School Lady Warriors Overnight '92! -type stuff that leaves you scratching your head.

    Rough times.

I guess we can call it that. Thrifted for 8 hours and didn't come home with much more than a bunch of pics of my thumb.

First post here, first ever pick up from a charity shop. Was dropping a lot of stuff off there this am and saw these on the shelf.
Barker Albert hi-shine leather in my size. Not my normal choice of leather but they'll be perfect at work and I'll never have to polish 'em.
    Not bad at £20 :)
