1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Oddly enough, his only other listing is a dress shirt lot with free shipping. It makes me wonder if the coat lot shipping is a typo.

He probably has it set for calculated shipping with a guess at the weight. It's showing $94 for me. Actual cost to go from OR to here should be in the $30-45 range.

I normally don't pick up RJC shirts, but this one is an exception.

I told one of the employees at this thrift that they probably didn't want to be selling stuff like this, but I don't think she cared. I'll see if it's still there tomorrow -- hopefully not.

Is it the original swastika or the German one?

Probably depends on what else it says on the plate. The tilted symbol makes me thing it could be the bad one. Hindu ones are commonly represented as upright.

I'm not sure whether it's reproduction or not, but the markings are certainly from Germany '37-45. That was the motto of a labor union, I believe.

Interesting. I saw that squigley logo (minus the Zara name) on a tie, but didn't know what it was, so passed on it. Good to know.

I hope it wasn't actually this squiggle that you saw:

    That would have been Canali.

Sorry. Apparently I'm mixing up logos in my head. It was a lone cursive "B" letter logo I saw.

Didn't know I had the 90s nostalgia feels until I saw this. Where did I put my walkman, my big headphones, my ripped over-washed 501s and my shell-toes?

Also, every website I visit on my work computer now has a 1stdibs banner with the bejeweled leather Versace codpiece on it. Thanks @double00 [IMG]

Any historical value? I love history but I'm not sure how other people view things like that

It's the bad one. I was did a little bit of googling because I was like "isn't this illegal/morally reprehensible/not a good look for a Christian thrift," and all the websites that show pottery with the same markings have warnings like THESE ARE NOT FOR SALE SO DON'T HATE US.

I would have bought that Nazi plate right quick. Of course it has historical value.

Decided to go back for anything interesting I might have missed. Got a Burberry, Charvet, Brioni and another Giorgio Armani.

id go back and buy that china. then i'd eat matzo balls off of it (maybe while reading a little Torah). next i'd take it for a drive and frisbee it from my speeding jeep off of a bridge.

“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”

sorry about the targeted ads @dad2bandm next time i'll be more judicious (in my defense, it was right there in the title!)
