1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

X Post from the Thriftmas Thread. I was given these pretty beat up Alden's by @aging in rhythm . I just got them back from the Alden restoration service. I am really impressed with what yopu get from Alden for the price. Unfortunately they are a little big for me now that they have been restored so they are available if anyone is interested. They are a size 10B/D

Thrift finds the last couple of days...

Shirts...Eton, Ted Baker, Serica Elite (Serica is my size so I'll keep it just cause it's so crazy)

Found Robert Graham polo in my size.

Found a bunch of Polo Ralph Lauren knit ties at Goodwill. "How much for the ties? A 1.99 each. Sure. Ok"

This Roda Made in Italy pocket square was in pocket of the LAB Pal Zileri suit I almost got (damaged suit). They were going to throw it in with suit but was only .99 without so why not.

    Some sweet ties...
Charles Tyrwhitt, Canali 1934, Roderick Charles x2, and pop for me on Drake's.

I'm still trying to unlock this achievement even though the hunt is already over. Speaking of which did @SpooPoker announce a winner?
Permanently etched in my memory - probably from the thousands upon thousands of times I use that code. 99 lives was still not enough.

Unexpected cool, productive thrift night. Wife is a new member of a local charity who hosts an annual fundraiser called "Tossed Out Treasures" which I thought was all furniture and household items. Turns out they have menswear which nobody (but me) paid much attention to. These gals collect stuff all year and host a three day sale which is this weekend in a vacant Marshall's. Tonight was the "preview party" and I took full advantage.

'Lo and random coolness @$1 ppu

Buttery soft PRL leather coat. Paid up @ $15

Victorinox puffer, Canali suit, Canali SC ($5, $10, $10)

BB gray suit and 5x NWT BB pants in my size. #thriftkarma ($10, $3 x 5)

Okay, I need some help here. These are vintage PRL ties as both still have $30 retail price tags on them. Any idea on age? They were free with the suits, btw.

Just commenting on is it possible... yes but it's a little expensive because they need to open the whole seem and refold it in. Depending on how big the rip is, could throw the look off.

If it's a tiny rip and for personal, I usually just reinforce the stitching there.

This is YMMV, but sometimes showing the manager the rip, they will severely discount the item so it could be worth getting it repaired.

And Frenchie, hot damn my man [IMG]
