1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Made a couple of stops today, trying to work down inventory instead of grow it ... but couldn't resist these (and some others that are questionable, but I'll deal with them later)

These were from a musty vintage/used clothing store, my second stop ... so not thrift prices, but still some meat left on the bone

Thrifts have been pretty dry these 2 weeks. Hopefully @futuremyth has had better luck.

Thought this Dave of Norway was pretty cool but missed that somebody had done a sloppy repair job on the collar. Probably going to get donated.

I've been too busy with my day job to get out the last couple weeks, but I'm super jealous of this t-shirt!

I'll go on the record and say that I love vintage Ballantyne cashmere as much as anything new from Loro Piana.

Not sure who schooled who on that pick....I had that Pixar shirt in hand and thought " how cute" and outback on rack. Never saw the Spooner line.

And just for the record, I had a supremely bad 2016, took care of my sister who had cancer for most of the year. I had made contact with Steel guy through the forum, and finally connected at a GW one day. He is as good of a person as you would want to meet, his thrift is strong, and may the thrift karma gods continue to be with him.

I know I know. I'm not going to. I toyed with the idea for a half hour before I realized how dumb it was.

Went out to some burbs I rarely hit today. Not sure how you guys OTP handle it. Nothing too wild, but this was cheap and looked old(er). I can never really remember the dating system.

All Clad and Le Creuset are a thrift weakness for me. There's no resale value so I have accumulated like 15 All Clad pans and maybe 8-10 Le Creuset pots and bowls of various sizes. My wife gives me the stink eye whenever I bring more home. I can't help myself.

Tell your wife if she spent more time in the kitchen, she'd appreciate these gifts from the thrift gods.

Fortunately she loves to cook and is pretty damn good at it. We have a pretty small kitchen so I know I need to lay off buying more. Or maybe open a restaurant.
