1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I left this behind today. Should I have copped for resale? It was heavy AF, and 3 sizes too big for me.

Always loved the label design on Banana Equipment. Those kits though! Wow. I've never seen an unused kit before. Those are an awesome find.

Ah! Nice catch. I was only looking at the toe boxes. I'm tempted to try them out. I have found 2 pairs of size 12 Aldens in the past. One pair fit great and I kept them and the other pair was almost an inch too long.

Fuck it. Just bought them. Thanks for the heads up. If they don't fit, I'll let the thread know and let someone else have them at cost.

Thanks for the insight. This was the first time I've found LP and the first time I've found 100% cashmere in great shape, so I'm just happy just to get both at the same time and actually see it in my neck of the woods.

Other finds from the last couple of days:

    Ties

Sport coats, both in excellent condition

Yea it's hard trying to figure out if they will fit if you don't know which last was used. Mainline Alden is pretty easy to figure out but the alden for BB is a tough one. Hope they work out for you!

    Sorry, forgot this:

I know it's not worth much.. But for me, one of the side effects of thrifting has been a growing appreciation of vintage clothes and shoes. I've really started to dig into the whole topic to learn more about the history of certain brands. So for me, this grab was purely about the label and finding out when it was from. Research project if you will. Cheers!

So I'm taking a few trips over the next couple of months and was wondering if anyone from any of these areas wants to either A. meet up for a drink or something or B. let me know if there are any thrifting areas that I should hit quick if I only have time for a couple stores while killing time (if you're up for this, shoot me a PM). My wife and I have been talking about how we need to take more trips this year.

    1. Date TBA: Chicago - I'm thinking February. If that doesn't happen, it will probably get pushed out to this summer. @silverwarebandit @eazye Let's hang out again.
    2. 3/16-3/19: Kansas City
    3. May (unsure of exact dates yet): London (also Oxford and Dublin as well as some other places along the way) Would be weirdly cool to do an international meet-up.

    Let me know!

Thanks. It was really nice IMO, but not dirt (no pun intended) cheap. Just didn't seem like something that would stand out on eBay and say "buy me."
