1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yes, though I do travel. Quite extensively.

    No. No it isn't. Ever.

No he's apparently excited that the Russians have Made America "Great" Again.

Edit: I assume the air quotes were implied, but just in case...

I think @Thrift Vader and @SpooPoker will enjoy my first thrift find. Bought this for $7 for myself back in 2006:

Sick leather bomber. Wore it for a little bit and had it in my closet at the house, just decided to throw it up on eBay in like 2012 or maybe 2013 and got $350 for it. That got my wheels turning on finding stuff in Goodwills...

*Edit - that's not actually my pic but it's the same jacket. I have some of me wearing it somewhere...

Found 6 of these recently. I think these are sorta what I'm looking for? Not my wheelhouse but figured I'd try to branch out.

6 x Herman Miller Caper Chairs. Paid about $8 per.

@dukedishin That jacket is the Heat!!!!!!!!!!!![IMG]

My first Thrift finds i remember? a pair of Converse Charles Barkley's. and a bunch of Starter/Sports Specialties caps.
thought buying the cool stuff with my yard cleaning money was the greatest thing ever. Pops would take me to the spots. and taught me how to earn my wants.

still trying to revisit that feels. only the good stuff is harder to find. which is perhaps why i have been cashing in my earned Cred points on here for the stuff i have been requesting lately.

My first thrift finds would have been around 15 or so years ago. I would get cheap clothes to skate in. I remember having a lot of Round 2 type stuff. Vintage sports gear, band shirts, etc.

These ties were my first nice classic menswear score about 6 years ago. I kept them all: 2 Brioni, a Charvet and Kiton at $2 each. The Kiton is still one of my favorite ties, a lucky find for a beginner. I remember not knowing of Kiton or what a seven fold was, but I recognized it was quality and wanted it.

Finds from the new year (and a few from the last week of December)

I will now have the best shoes when I go bowling. Deadstock from 1983 for $6
    [IMG]

These embroidered Skeets seem to do well

Pop on Charvet dress shirt. Damn that cotton is the nicest shirt material i've felt.
Only the second Drake's tie I've ever found.

Counts as Savile Row? Looks like they are nearby!

NWT Polo/Corneliani suit. I found one in the same size (assuming same donor) last year at New Years also, although this was at a different location so it appears I got lucky.

Thank goodness they didn't notice price tag up inside the sleeve, so it wasn't priced higher.

Really nice vintage Brioni with patch pockets

...but I'm going to have to steal these buttons for myself.

This has to be a reproduction, although it is dated 1943. Still really cool though.

Old Pringle cashmere henley. Had not seen a cashmere henley before.

    Gucci loafers

Am I the only one to buy a Bert Pulitzer tie? This red cashmere was much too nice to leave behind.

Every now and then I find a vintage tie that is way better than anything recent. This wool Robert Talbott is one of those....love this one.

[IMG] Oh yeah, I need a bag to store my jump start cables, and towing rope. . [IMG] Legit Nike Duffle. Not paying $20 for it today tho. That was a pretty good one stop look around. Later learned that all Mens winter clothing is 30% off. Might have to go back tomorrow. . :thumbs-up:
