There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The recent Richard James made in England tie is available. You might be able to pry one of the squares from me if you reaaaally need it.

Back from Italy, back in the shops. I only went to one actual "thrift store" in Tuscany, and it was more like a Buffalo Exchange, where people sell their clothes which are then re-sold at higher-than-thrift prices, but not quite "boutique". I did find a couple of really good boutique stores, but bought nothing, as I was broke from Xmas shopping. From the thrift store I got these three items:
Dolce & Gabbana sport coat and multi-check shirt, and a pair of like-new Trickers.

Then my first outing back home yielded this stuff, all N/A:
    Zegna x 2

Boglioli orphan that I'm hoping to sell as an evening sport coat.

    Luciano Barbera x 2

Issey Miyake ramie/cotton shirt. Does anyone get excited about this maker anymore?

Like-new Gustins from the "fashion forward" section of the GW.

    Nike Golf

Mill Valley era Banana Republic linen/cotton sweater, RRL jersey long-sleeve

NWT Scotch & Soda, Drumohr, and Truzzi. The Truzzi is so great! Comparable to the Finamore and Barba shirts I've handled. Very much under-loved on eBay, so I recommend putting them on your watch list.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

That's a really good price for the two Attolini. I'd sell the RLPL's and get most of your money back.

No more Aquascutums, sad to say, but I've managed to find some shareworthy items (I think)

Duluth Trading Presentation jacket (from 06 season I believe). In excellent condition. Pockets. Pockets everywhere ....

Another pair of Imperial 96302s, this time with the original heel and v-cleat. From 1970. Love the color of these ones.

Imperial split toes with the double v-cleat, also circa 1970 (or so says the gentleman from vcleat.com). According to the vintage shoe thread, these ones aren't that common.

I know that AEs are extremely common for most of you, but I felt pretty stoked to find some in relatively good condition. Graysons:

    And Hillsboros

I also picked up a pair of Chesters, but the leather on the toe of one of them needs a little bit of work. Need to see what my shoe guy says ...

A pair of Santoni bit loafers/mocs in excellent shape. Santonis are sort of a thing, right?

And some ties. Lands End cotton and madras, a Robert Talbott madras and a Polo. Plus a pair of Pelican U.S.A. fish braces.

I know these aren't worth much (if anything). But I have a plan: I'm going to take some pics of me wearing one of those madras ties, the braces, that JCrew blazer I found and those longwings with an OCBD and chinos. Then I'm going to go crush the Southern Trad thread here .... Or post them at AAAC

Cheers and have a great weekend!

Recent repro? I don't recall the model name, but those certainly have a following.

Dang, almost bid on a bunch of those but XL Gitman Vintage is just too big (these run true to size.....you'd think they'd fit slim). Won a lot with one Gitman Vintage OCBD in a size L that fits perfect and a couple other shirts I'll try to sell (though they're basically worthless) Might just donate them. Thanks for the heads up. Probably would have jumped on the BIN listings if they didn't disclose the damage (which she likely didn't).

On that same note, beware of a Imogene and Willie HBT camo shirt that may be relisted. I returned it because it had two bleach stains on the back.

yeah i think these are well received these days... FA14 so pretty recent (altho i didn't think this was an old style, so repro never crossed my mind...). this tag says organic cotton, i think they used recycled cotton on a version too

the quilted sweatshirt snap t's are neat, i'd like to run into one of those in my size

    Original Eno

Got a real head rush when I saw the Brian Eno records. The jazz records are also outstanding, the latter of which is a Rudy Van Gelder recording.

I've since cried to Discreet music, the more symphonic second side of the record is phenomenonal. Truly a seminal work.

If anyone is interested the first song is more ambient, written to be turned down as low as possible and for you to go about your day. And the latter can be listened to in any way you want.

Glad to see this thing is alive and kicking! Been picking up and stockpiling random pieces here and there wishing I was in an area that was better for thrifting. :/

That's only 1 hour from San Francisco. I'd be driving in there once a week if I were there.

Good to see you're still checking in. Bay area is one of the better spots in the US to thrift, but not sure how it compares to Dallas (I recall you were finding crazy stuff regularly).

Forgot to post these, from ye ole Buffalo Exchange. $17 after I traded some stuff. The guy at the counter said some dude brought them in (along with a pair of APCs that are priced at $40) and said he didn't like the fit. So ... these are basically unworn. (The APCs are "three wears.")

These are incredibly awesome. Better than my strongholds.
