You're welcome. As I said, I got it cheap on clearance at Marshalls. I hadn't had a use for it and hadn't gotten around to selling it. It wasn't doing anyone any good siting in my drawer.

Awesome find! No idea of the value, but I would have bought it for $30. I agree with Shoeluv on the age, either late or post WWII. These were developed in the early 40's, I think.

^^^ that's a sensational aloha shirt. i think it's unusual to see black/grey colorway and it seems so so rare to see a size that big from the 40s.

He got a good deal that shirts worth 3 to 4x that. I bet the first real collector swooped it. Keep an eye hanashirt.com see if it pops up. I would imagine it won't be for sale as anything from the 1940 he usually won't sell if he was the buyer. If you haven't packed it yet does it have its date mark in the bottom of the placket?
