1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Went back to the same store, assuming all same donor. The jacket is currently and orphan, but I think would look good on its own. Plan to go back later today and next few days to see if I can reunite.

Is there a hard and fast rule for orphaned pants? Some of these seem like they would be trousers, due to the weight, and some maybe have a jacket that goes with them, just not sure.

Edit: is that small hole in the gray pants fixable? Just wondering if anyone has experience trying to fix them?

Also grabbed these, not sure if they are anything, fit me great and were kind of odd, thought they might be fun sometime.

One more find. I happened to love the pattern on these, but they may not be everyone's taste. The price was too good to pass up, but I'll have to piece together then rest of the collection. At least the dinner plates were there.

follow up from above. at the in-laws for Christmas (northern suburbs of Portland, OR) and decided to sneak out to take a peek. no car but that couldn't stop me. first time riding a bike to actually get somewhere in 15 years. great workout but full disclosure i got off my bike and walked up a couple hills midway up
    [IMG]

wasn't finding much but took a peek at the pants before leaving, glad i did. 2 cuci (54, pop pop) and 2 flannel mint zanellas (pleated) with nice paterns. Avg ppu $10.50

    Gray/Orange and Gray/Blue Flannels
    [IMG]

Below is from the store i hit back in GA before i left avg ppu about $5.25.

sucks when you find a crisp, mint brioni in the first 5-10 shirts you look at but the follow up is weak
    [IMG]

at this point it feels like i'm picking up RLPL shirts out of respect (though the silk ones are $$$). at least this ones not striped. anybody else's RLPL stripe shirts just sit there for 2 months and end up selling for $15? lighting is a bit off, base color is navy
    [IMG]

one of my favorite NWT shirts to find, especially in larger sizes. Always get premium pricing and sells fast. 100% silk tommy bahama XL. The more i thrift in other places the more i appreciate GA. Sure certain things are marked up but 90% of the stuff is just tagged and racked, even NWT stuff like this
    [IMG]

and finally pop on mainline LP. nice 70%/30% Cashmere/Silk but has this stain on the shoulder. not sure what it is but my current guess is bird poop. grabbed it because it was $3 and thought it'd be worth experimenting on. Didn't have time before i flew out but will update on my attempts when i get back next week.

Another factor is the sheer fucking randomness of eBay biz. Hiding flip talk behind this
So much depends on who happens to be searching for what kind of thing at what time. I almost decided to donate a mostly synthetic, made in China, POW check Varvatos USA suit, and it ended up selling for well over $100. Then I just sold a mainline Varvatos, made in Italy, staple charcoal suit for half that. You can drive yourself crazy trying to predict what people will do, especially with items that are basically one-of-a-kind.

I know, they're really great and they were €4. I would swear they were new. I've been incredibly fortunate in finding a good number of peccary gloves in my size, which is relatively small. I have them in browns, tans, cream, and black. In total, 5-6 pairs. I found a stash of NOS gloves once, presumably a glover (had to double-check that one) had died and they were from his shop.

This pair is one of my favorites, really like the color. It's also the only pair I own that are stamped "peccary."

I grabbed these in this fall, they were also new and they're FANTASTIC. Super soft.

Are those the pants to one of the coats you picked up before?
The rest may be orphans, but solid color pants are an easy sell either way.
The incotex are for sure just trousers. 100% cashmere incotex? Noice.
Holes are a PIA, I never pick up things with holes anymore (that I know about anyways). You can get it rewoven if it's awesome and for you.

Everyone is killing, love keeping up with the thread.

I picked them up at a flea market. The woman wanted €5 each, and I offered €8 for both. She immediately accepted and seemed quite pleased, though not nearly as pleased as I was with the transaction.

On another note, I watch Home Alone every year and always admire Peter Mcallister's Burberry duffle coat. I actually found the women's version this year, now to find it in my size.
