1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I think this counts as thrifted kind of. (Plus, the glass was a thriftmas gift from Wes)

Saw this strange turtleneck sweater yesterday.

I wondered if it was a dragon? Maybe a dinosaur?

There was no tag on the neck, and I was in a hurry, so decision time. Do I keep flipping through the rack or set down my stuff and check for a maker tag at the waist.

I decided to take the extra few seconds to check for the tag.

At true thrift prices, I wouldn't leave any PRL flag sweater behind, but that's not a big money one. For anyone interested in Polo culture, this is a pretty cool all-pictorial guide of Polo grails. The dude who made it was featured on Round Two, that's how I heard of it. Good resource. [IMG]

Good times... I spotted two other guys wearing skeets, and only one guy wearing a suit (with a Christmas tie, of course...).

I must say that drinking at your next door neighbors' house has its advantages... Super-easy stumble home, and no cleanup.

Can anyone tell me what years this label was used and where on their quality spectrum this line ranked?

That is recent, just a few years old. They are now using a yellow label, This was the one just before.

It is the regular Hickey Freeman label. Every jacket I've had with that label has been full canvas.

The one with the colors inverted (white background, brown logo/lettering) is cheaper, half canvas.

This is that item you wear with a solid Black s/c. Or a chalkstripe. Some fresh Jawnz. With your fave sneaks. And nobody will ever call you out on it. :nodding:

    The week in review.

    Two questions :

Any pottery experts - that Red Wing thing is probably the first piece of pottery I've ever bought. No idea if it was worth it or not. Any ideas? Was only 2 bucks so no harm no foul either way.

@Fueco - I grabbed that Rei jacket with you in mind. Again, no idea if its good but if you can move it or wear it Id love to trade it with you for something thats more in my wheelhouse.

Is it cold in Bermuda? I've seen so many amazingly nice cashmere sweaters and super fluffy scarves for Bermuda specialty shops but in my brain it's all sun-kissed beaches and shit.

    Guize,

I just found a reference to this thread, and Macklemore's "Thrift shop".

    -in Final Fantasy XV. :wow:

At the Prairie outpost, near the Ham Radio. 2 women are sitting at a table.
    One of them sings:
"Digging through peoples trash, gonna sell it and make some money, yay!"

    To the same melody!

    Nearly choked on my beer.:spew:
