1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Passed on a vintage Abercrombie & Fitch shearling coat because of stains on the exterior. Anyone have tips for cleaning at home? Please PM if so. It fits and the price was decent but I'm going to leave it if the only alternative is to send it to a specialty cleaner.

Tagged mostly from 34 to 38. I also saw a pair that is tagged a 40. Actual waist measurement was around 36" to 38" on the few that I did.

    "The Spray can method" .

Dare say a shearling will hold up better than a black silk tie.
-and it cleans my Timbs like new every season.

If Blood stains? Paint thinners. Also works for coffee and other organic/food stains if i remember correctly.

I had a question for the mid century furniture gurus...

I've come across these Karel of Cumberland, made in Illinois chairs. I would wager these date to the 50s or 60s. Any input would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is the same thing as this company.

I ethrifted this cool 1990 model Patagonia Synchilla Pullover fleece jacket.

Its a bit too big (XL), but should be a good ROI.

Linda sold me a "mystery" Isaia Napoli Neiman Marcus suit on best offer. Mystery because the only photos of the suit were 5 full mannequin sets. No detail photos other than a black shoulder and no photos of the tag....so we will see what we won in a few days..

Hermes x 3. Didn't catch this until late last night when I cataloged these in my Excel tracker - she rung me up incorrectly, which saved me $27.

I've found Drake's ties and shirts, but never a scarf.

Vintage made in England schoolboy scarf for a long defunct local store. It's got a few holes, but it's a nice addition to my collection of goods from long gone local stores.

I usually leave older Burberry, but this orange linen was dirt cheap. 38.

Hey thank you for the feedback! Is mid-century without well known branding ever a good idea?

'Twas a decent day of thrifting today. I had to look for some ugly tees and sweatshirts after seeing the Youtube video linked yesterday. Holy cow. If only I had kept all my Starter stuff from the mid '90s. I had the full Notre Dame baseball outfit with the cap, shirt and shorts and lots of other nice things.

I go through a rack of coats when I spot this Olympic logo. Hmmm... let's investigate.

BOOM! Adidas Centennial leather coat. As good as new. Expensive thrift, but hey...

    And a sick Celine coat.

Canali herringbone. Maybe too old school.

    Z Zegna cords.

    Wood Wood casuals.

It's all about looks, in my opinion. I've picked up stuff with no branding, just based on the look. Did really well.
