Both World War 2 items have date stamps. The coat is 1942, the shoes are 1944. As for the other shoes, I'm a collector of vintage shoes and have done a lot of research on vintage styles/makers. Also, looking closer at the Ferragamo tie, I think you're definitely right.

Thanks for the reply man. I feel bad coming on just to ask for authenticity check but I have had slim pickings here lately.

I'll echo @Nataku - that inside side pocket tag has always been missing on the fakes I've come across.

Funny that I ran into this being as I am looking for something by them, this one is too small for me though.

Never would have looked twice at this until I saw a post last week where someone found a Miami Hurricanes one like it. Pictures not great, but it's shiny black satin. Starter, USA, Large.

Haha. I came across a few Starter jackets this weekend and looked for a L for Thrift Vader. All XLs though.

I'm always highly suspicious of the obvious logo stuff, the horse bits on those would be the most frequently faked print.
I've never seen dates on shoes, would love to see you drop the knowledge on that shoe code. I always come across stuff and take a guess on the date, but it's purely a hunch unless you can really do the research. Militaria is a little easier because of contract numbers and active collectors.

If that was ERDL, it's be worth a mint. That looks to me like RDF transitional (transition between ERDL and Woodland), used between 1978/79 and 1981. Still pretty rare, as most M65's are woodland or OD green. It's a great find!
