1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I've been having a great few weeks with vintage come ups. I can't wait to take proper pics this week; sneakers/crews/bags/duffles/fleeces/jackets. Love thrifting.

Spoo, I don't even know you 'like that' but damn I'm proud of you. I hope to one day make it up there and check it out and support you even more.

I've got a couple days off until I start my new job, thinking of making a thrift trip to the Cincinnati or Nashville area. If anyone can offer recommendations of places to stop I would appreciate it.

I try not to let myself fall into the things are dry mentality ... I know it would become self-fulfilling for me. So I always follow what I've come to think of as @SpooPoker 's first two rules of thrifting. (At least the first two that I learned.)

    1. Always, Always take a cart, you're going to need it.
    2. Open up your senses, look around you and be open to what is there. It's not what you expect.

I came up with even decent fun things on a Sunday night after the weekend sale and racks have been pillaged:

Ibex jacket, crab pants from a Nantucket store, le Coq Sportif pants, Orvis shirt, BB Madison Tux pants, Arc'teryx

I was feeling so good that I drove to another store 1/2 hour away that was open late. Again it looked like it'd been pillaged. But, Istarted filling the cart:

Zegna sport coat, BB women's Loro Piana (buttons are worth more than I paid), Oxxford for Barneys complete suit, and Hickey Freeman complete suit

Tyrwhitt, Elliot, Costume National Shirts, Bill's Khaki pants

Athens 2004 Olympics hat and Superga shoes

And ... (might be fake?) the required 'Lo of the day.

And more ... BB ties, AE shoes,

Reposting this tie from the other day, because I believe I found out it is......... Kiton!
The only tag is the fabric tag, but that is the tag Kiton uses.

People lined up in the morning, clutching boxed Lobb's, Brioni gator jackets and pre-death Versace. Before opening, the store staff carries out a leather Chesterfield sofa. Interviewing people in line: "I saw the Cesare Attolini blazer on Instagram and hope it's still here"; "Came to restock on Creed but my wife likes the Chanel bag she saw on StyleForum."

Walk into the store I've consistently had the best luck at this morning. Start on the shirts, my heart stops immediately:

I look closer, see it's missing a button. Also has a tear down below the belt line. It's an XL at the very end of the rack, in the middle of the mediums (where they wrap around onto the other side of the aisle). I guarantee you some professional came through an hour before I did and cleaned out the whole store, putting this shirt back when they noticed the damage. [IMG] Damn this Seattle traffic...

Picked it up for personal use anyways, I need to practice my sewing and they knocked it down to $6 for me. Maybe I'll wear it as a nightshirt, it's soft enough. I found a few other things either the pro missed, or more likely, didn't think were worth picking up. Is a J Crew Ludlow suit in 38S worth picking up at $20 if I'm going to be putting together a box for consignment? I know there's a little meat on the bone but I don't know if it's worth bothering with if it's going to be split between two people.
