This has nothing to do with the olympics besides being a fashion souvenir from a beverly hills boutique and in all likelihood from 1984. note the lack of olympic rings, or any direct references at all...

the countries are obviously referenced in italian (hence URSS and Cile, Stati Uniti etc etc). of course, Valentino did the italian's uniforms and Levi's did the americans and this doesn't look to have anything to do with either...

so it's just a cool LA souvenir umbrella that sort of obliquely references the games (and yes the soviets did boycott). i'm not saying it's not a thing, it's just not official olympics swag. still kinda interesting...

@Rewfio that Carrol & Co jacket is made by Chester Barrie. Left it since it had some odd marks/stains that were barely visible.

Grabbed a few others from the same donor.

I knew I forgot to hit the ties/scarf section!
