1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Was thinking today how fucking awesome it would be if someone did a live thrift via Periscope. Any takers? Or is this a stupid idea... :/

I think this would be amazing. Though that thrifter may look odd with a GoPro on their heads.

On the other hand, if everyone did that, it would be an easy way to identify other thread members.

Perhaps a sneaky iphone pointing out of a chest pocket would be doable? Actually, what's the law on this kinda shenanigans? Ha.

Women's section is where it's at. That's where all the colorful 80s/90s jackets are.

How does this even get through processing? Let alone stay on the rack long enough for someone to even find it? Nice!

nice little lululemon haul, the polar opposite of the typical thrift smell, these were all freshly washed and basically feel new (except the tank which has a tag). there was probably more but short on time.

I'm wondering how long till a network sets up a television series following @SpooPoker and the like. Kind of a Storage Wars type gig.

That was already done...it was called Thrift Kings or something like that. Didn't last very long. And the guys mostly focused on vintage casual wear.

Edit: it was called Thrift Hunters, on Spike TV. Last aired in 2014 it appears.

The one dude from that show does tours where he hosts "thrifting classes" in each city and then has large community garage sales. I really want to hate on that but then I realize that he has a pretty ideal job.

Passed on a Birger Sandzen print for $100 because it seemed like a lot for something that might take a while to sell. Also passed on the shoez. Bad passes?

Good pass on the AF-1. IMO the only AF-1s worth picking up are true vintage 80s-90s ones.

Enjoyed the summation of grail finds over the past week. Would be great to have a weekly summary of this thread for easy reading viewing.
