1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

The Hermes tie has a single thread running down the back of the tie holding the seam together. This thread forms a loop at both ends of the tie and can be pulled to tighten the seam. Since the ties are made by hand the length of the thread varies depending on who makes it.
Sometimes the loop is pulled up inside the large blade and cannot be seen, but you can always look inside the seam on the back and confirm that there is a single thread holding it together.

I'm not @SpooPoker but was just thinking about this a couple days back... I'm at ~150 in my personal collection/rotation, which likely sounds absurd. I'm at the point where I have to decide between getting rid of a Ricci, Kiton, Hermes, etc if I'm going to take one out of my collection.

Right? This weekend I'm downsizing (which brought the thought about). I'll post massive lots for minimal trades when all said and done.

Also, thread, is it appropriate to post "an official tie appreciation thread" under classic menswear? I'm thinking about starting one.

I havent counted in a while but I think 200 or so. For my stock though, thats a different story, I probably have 1500-2000 ties I haven't listed yet.

Anyone who has visited me at the store can attest to this.
