1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

    Awesome haul!
This might be unnecessary to say, but I caution you not to assume ties are NWT simply because the price tag is still there, hidden in the lining. I've found that on very old, worn ties before. Apologies in advance if you already know that.

Haven't been out much lately but today I had a few thrift firsts. Pop on Filson, coat and vest (found at two different stores) and Etro paisley skeet. Also a few other things. Like 6x Robert graham fully embroidered, Eton Ganghester, jimmy choo sunglasses, etc. but not pictured.

Damn, your wife is a badass thrifter! Did she learn from you or was she already into it as well? Just curious...my girl couldn't give less of a shit about thrifting, even though I've brought home some awesome stuff for her. Would be nice to go together but she seems to have zero interest, despite my efforts.

She got me into thrifting. She's picked up on the menswear from me but her specialty is finding odd rare stuff that sells for 10x what I get for any of my high end menswear

That's really cool to have a shared interest like that. Hopefully your kid will grow up to be a thrift prodigy!

not familiar with that label but i found this. looks pretty much the same to me - label, lining, leather, etc. even the pics are similar lol (but obv a different jacket). i guess they could both be fake, but that seems doubtful...

Been MIA for the past week. My wife's grandfather is in frail health so we spent the week with her grandparents helping out. Catching up on a crapload of posts.....

Thrifting around here sucks, so I got out and hit some stores on one of the days. Was nice to actually see great stuff in the wild again. Got a few cool things. Pics tomorrow.

Depends on how "vintage" and what it is. Whatcha got?

    NWT VV tie.

I normally pass on vintage PRL but these were too cool and too cheap to leave. The silk? one fits but I detest flapped patch pockets so to the Bay it goes.

This is a bad opinion. Patch pockets rule in any of their beautiful beautiful forms.

To my eye flapped patch pockets are just too much. Too much material. Too many lines. I don't think this proves much, but show me a Zegna, Kiton, or Isaia jacket with flapped patch pockets. I love prep/Ivy and it inspires a lot of my style, but those pockets will never make it into my wardrobe.
