no shearling left behind!

Really? There is a small thrift store I visit occasionally and they have two Shearling coats. One has no tag and the other has a brand name I googled and found ZERO. The no tag coat was LONG, mens, and was $50. The other was a woman's, long and I think it was about the same price.

Should I go back?

I'm 60 something pages behind on this thread (was in Court a lot the last week and half) and I am still trying to catch up, so I apologize in advance for replying to week old posts.

Some repeats, some new....

Still bummed I did not get to wear this first one to the Christmas party this year (55 degrees). Christmas really needs to be in February.

Repeat - Mighty Mac FU Peacoat

FU Ranch Blanket Coat

Unbranded (De-branded) Flight Jacket, Scovill snaps and Ideal Zips

I always pass on HD stuff because with the excess of bikers around here, it is always marked way up. But a leather and wool double rider, thats different....and for $13, I sprung for it.

Peacoat

Nuther Peacoat

Repeat - Silver Persian Lamb Coat....I friggin love this thing.

Royal 'Shmere

Repeat - Tin Lizzy/Caddy Sweater

Really funny that Kos popped up when it did.

Everyone should watch the Grammys tonight and keep an eye out for this guy, Michael League, the bandleader of Snarky Puppy. I was at a show last year after their first Grammy nomination (which they won) and he said it was his first time ever having to buy a suit and he never to have to do that again. So after they were nominated this year, I reached out and offered to design him one. And here we are.

One estate sale. I wish they were all as vintage rich as these. A few notes -

English patches are hand embroidered from trimminghams
Look at the hand work on the vintage Brooks suit!
I've never seen a tweed like the blue brooks brothers- and it feels like silk.
Big E Levi's is NA
Croc wallets are completely 70 year plus dead stock. I unwrapped them from their Christmas boxes from the 50s.
Cape is insane. Probably 1910s, silk lined and hand bouillon embroidered.

Oh ****. Those Croc wallets. Amazing!

Been MIA for the past several days. Been out of town without internet access. One of the things I had to do was arrange to have these shipped back home to Minnesota. Not thrifted, but can't beat free (well, for the cost of shipping home).

Question:

Is Oxxford Cashmere always labeled/tagged as Cashmere. I have an Oxxford SC that could be Camelhair or Cashmere. But, I also have an Oxxford Cashmere coat that feels similar and it is labeled as Cashmere. In fact, every cashmere Oxxford I have found has been labeled that way. So, I think I may have answered my own question.

Pics:

Another Question

This is a brag and its also a quandary.

I can't figure out what to do with Oxxford Cashmere coat

Its not my size so the obvious thing to do is sell this bad boy and sell it fast! But, here is the problem:

Two very small nibbles. They are not holes. AND they look worse in the pics than in person.

I don't think this can be repaired with reweaving.

The quandary is spend the money to repair it (if it can be repaired) or sell it like it is?

Obviously these coats sell for big money, so I don't want to give it away for cheap. But, how bad is it with the small half nibbles.
