1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Maybe that's the outfit @Versace Guy needs for his white shoes.

Does this happen to anyone else when thrifting?

    1. Take your jacket that you own off to try on thrift store jacket (not in changing room)

    2. Take thrift store jacket off and put back on rack

    3. Put your jacket that you own back on

    4. Think to self, "Hmm I hope no one thinks I'm stealing this jacket. What if they only saw me putting it on and then walking out of the store? It's my jacket I swear!"

    5. Feel a little guilty/hope no one tackles you as you walk out of the shop wearing the jacket that you own

    6. Think to self as you open car door, "I got away with it."

    7. Drive to freedom/next shop. Repeat.

I had a friend once set down his suit jacket in the store while trying on some other jackets. Only to realize later that he forgot it there. It was never seen or heard from again but they did let him pick out a different jacket and get some store credit. Crazy where things can end up in a thrift store if your not watching ha.

I can relate. I told myself last week that I'd wear the Isaia SC I found if only it was my size.

So the difference between thrifting in the UK and the US. Mrs NickD had a couple of hours to kill while I was doing some training at work yesterday, bearing in mind we work in a fairly large city, and for her 2 hours thrifting she found...

    ...one Chester Barrie shirt.

The best of the rest was worn out PRL, but mainly orphan suit jackets from supermarkets at £15 and that kind of thing. It's depressing.

We'll be making a trip to the US at some point for a holiday, and you'd better believe we're coming over with half empty suitcases!

thrifting is so weird. i have found, literally, 30 suits and sportcoats over the past 2 days at a multitude of different stores, while finding almost zero shirts or shoes. why is this? the questions i stay up late asking myself - strange times, my friends
