1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Found a (what feels like) cashmere suit that is canvassed yesterday with no labels except 2 noting it was made in West Germany and had bemberg lining and a bag of buttons in the pocket from a company that closed in '84.

My first instinct was Boss but I'm not sure they'd use cashmere, bemberg, or canvass, even back then. Were there any high end suit makers or companies making high end suits in West Germany?

Anyone recognize the maker. The jacket is half canvassed with surgeon cuffs but no tags. Just the lining. Fits well

I should mention that I liked it and it's for me, not to flip, I was just curious who was making high end suits there at that time. The fabric is beautiful, charcoal nailhead with a purple and blue overcheck.

Sorry, I assumed you were flipping. But there are no "major" makers from West Germany (besides that one factory that made Boss).

I usually leave Zegna shirts but I liked these. Cotton/cashmere XL on top. 16.5 on the bottom.

My favorite pop of all time. Found with Brooklyn made Sid pants, FSC shirts, Zegnatex and more fodder I won't bother taking shitty pictures of. True thrift. One store, two nights.

Just steamed a skeet and was overwhelmed by the unmistakable reek of Acqua di Gio and cigarette smoke.
