1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Can't imagine paying $300 for this (a) tie, but hey, it makes me feel like $300.

There's absolutely nothing new about any of that...

First mention of flipping from the OG thread.

Stuff from the last week in no particular order. All available unless it says otherwise.

Major goof here. I saw one of these cool vintage shoe trees, bought the pair and the guy in the shop popped them both in the bag. Can't be arsed to return them, but unless anyone has two right feet I don't see much practical use for them. I'm going to keep one for display in some imagined future walk in wardrobe that I'll never have. If anyone wants the other you can have it for shipping.

FAC 73 12" (aka Blue Monday). Very happy with this, one of my favourites from many a club in Manchester in my youth.

e-thrifted this beautiful Inis Meain linen knit. Tagged L but fits small-medium so I'm keeping unless you absolutely have to have it.

A year ago when I finally got a big boy job I went to Allen Edmonds and got my feet measured. Turns out I have a somewhat weird size. So after a years worth of patience, ebay saved searches, and a few catch and releases, I've amassed this collection so far. Average price was $52.81 shipped. Nothing too special, but better than what everyone else at work is wearing.

Thrifted, though was above average price. A quick eBay completed listings search told me to buy it.

Edit: meant to quote purplelabel, sorry

Seems like the discounts offered at NMLC have declined within the last year. They used to consistently offer 30% off all menswear - this was basically their standard sale that was offered non-stop. I check their website weekly and haven't seen it offered in a long time. There was a period of a couple months when menswear was not discounted at all (except for clearance), something I had rarely (if ever) seen in 4 years of shopping there.

Oh @freehand I have a pair of those harrods shoetrees, they are awful for shoes but awesome looking. I Also have a identical pair for the swedish equivalent of Harrods, NK ( Nordiska Kompaniet).

Went on a ridiculous 3 day thrifting bender this weekend. Nothing epic, or even extraordinary volume-wise...but not bad for March.

    Weekly shell installment.
