I continue to branch out. Found this yesterday. The knowledge is transferring from men's clothing to other things. Good solid heavy cloth, solid buttons and zippers, "Made in Great Britain", Gaudy yet somewhat classic looking:

Vintage '80s Laura Ashley

Previously that name brought up images of K-Mart and other discount stores.

I took a bit of time to research last night. Looks like these vintage pieces have quite the following, kind of a mother daughter bonding thing, fond memories from youth and purchasing/wearing these dresses.

It also has the story of the wife and husband who start out small and mushroom into a huge business which is eventually sold off and licensed everywhere...

Example pic on ebay, this looks much better on a mannequin (not my link)

Thanks for the Christmas wishes @capnwes . Love the card.

Wes, thanks for the holiday card! Your room looks badass!
You all are welcome.

My apologies to the international crowd. The cards came in too late (read: I ordered the cards too late) to get them sent out in time. It was kind of a last minute idea.....like all my ideas usually are.

Love the headerphoto on your eBay @txwoodworker

And Damn its frustrating to have stuff at home you want to show off but your apartment is a nightmare to take pictures in... Oh and you live in Sweden so you have like 7 hours of daylight per day and you work all of them.

Another Cremieux shirt for me as well (these are always cheap and on sale) and a nice cashmere made in Italy sweater.

I'm starting to like Cremeiux more and more for personal use. Some of the stuff is typical cheap department store stuff. But, some of it appears to be very nice. I bought a Cremeiux suit with LP fabric and it is one of my favorite suits (other than my Oxxfords).

Dudes, the lack of requests killed my ego. I thought this was a nice thread to hang out in...

Cremieux Collection or Cremieux Signature? The Signature made-by-Isaia (or made-by-the-maker-of-Isaia or whatever) suits are really nice. Fair bit of hand sewing goes into them.

We had wealthy Asian friends when I lived in Hawaii. I was invited to one of their weddings. Well, they served bird nest soup. I thought that it was just a cute name.... until they explained it to me.
