1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I came up on a similar jacket a few years ago for $3, sold it. And regret it. Is this 100% lambskin?

Can anyone help me on some info for these Danner boots? Patina is amazing. Wish they weren't twice as big as my foot. Maybe a @Fueco question.

Feels like a soft buttery leather. It runs a little large and look goofy on me or I would probably keep it!

A few recent finds. I haven't had much time to take pics, but have a few.

It has been SHOES recently: (possibly some repeats)

To Boot New York Cap toe 11.5

Mezlan Deerskin and Leather Cap Toe

Vintage J&M Aristocraft Saddle Shoes 9.5

    Zegna 100% Linen Shirt

E-Thrifted Oxxford Silk and Wool SC

Vintage Lacoste Corduroy Harrington (this thing is great!)

Vintage Louis Roth FU Plaid SC

    ETON 100% Linen Shirt (MINTY!)

    Here's a Swish I am proud of:

Bulova Millenia 96C21 Minute Repeater Complicated Movement. This thing does everything and has SO MANY hands and 6 different modes. It took me a manual and an hour to set everything. I think it might be like HAL in 2001: A Space Oddysey, it might take over my life and keep me hostage.

Another Swish-- 1939 Girard Perregaux "Shell Oil" promotional Skeleton pocket watch. These pics are so lousy and this watch is so amazing!

Fodder NEW Florsheim Loafers -- yes, they are cheesy, but they were $2 and they SELL!

    A mini thrift fit

For the Tassel Loafer lovers (like myself).

Decided to wear these today. Other stuff not seen was also thrifted.

BB 3/2 Sack Suit, BB Stripe point collar shirt, Brioni tie, Ralph Lauren real croc belt

    ALL THRIFTED

It's like I hopped in a time machine back to the 60s.

Brooks Brothers 3/2 flannel suit, dated 1964. Jacket has a couple small issues. I think this one is worth looking into reweaving, will investigate.

In the spirit of being thrifty but cognizant of value, I need some help choosing a car insurance provider. Any reason not to just quote out allstate, state farm, amica, and the other few national brands and choose based on price at that point? Any of the big names you'd immediately cross off the list? Just looking for single car and renters insurance.

It's going to be different depending on your state and car. I think you'll be fine just quoting the majors. I had no issues with Progressive claim-wise. They were by far the cheapest when I had a VW Golf, but once I got a new car, I saved a lot of money by switching to Geico. More than the advertised 15%. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples (same coverages).

Thrifts around here continue to be better than expected. This isn't much (especially for most of you) but for these parts, I was pretty happy.

Found these dope Sebago X Filson Boots. The soles look nearly new.

I've been looking to come across a good pair of Cords and finally did. Vineyard Vines in my size.

Finally, nothing crazy, but a cool LL Bean cotton Safari Sport Coat thing also in my size and cheap.

The thrift gods seem to be smiling on everyone a little bit lately. Good luck out there!
