I know, right? I actually had filled my hands with a bunch of quarters as well. He looked them over and said "Oh, those aren't twenty cents because they're...." and he looked them over for a good minute while I stood in the cold "...fifty pence each." Wrong, not only the value "fifty," but also in their country of origin. I tossed them back and went with the $1 coins. To be fair, he seemed to specialize in only Austrian/German coins and many coins around the world show a numerical value on them (though the $1 coins clearly show it).

I was out for a meeting and swung by a little thrift store I like to visit every once in a while. I also usually donate my stuff there. They are having a silent auction to raise money and they had a Men's Shearling coat.

I took a picture of the label. Its a long (3/4 length) coat. I didn't see a size as they had it on a mannequin. It looked like a medium sized coat. I am not familiar with it.

Should I be trying to buy this? For Resale? Or proxy? It looked VERY nice from the quick look I had.

That'd be me, still have to get them looked at before I end up doing anything to them. If worthless/not original will definitely try to convert to cufflinks! For reference, they're below - if anyone has more info, that'd be awesome:

Larger one....Cimmerian Bosporus, Pantikapaion, Head of Pan on front, Griffin on back.

Smaller one...looks like it could be Philip II

Edit: Sorry if that was already said, I missed the post on them earlier.

I got bad news and good news today.
The bad: our bathroom is so water damaged, it's gonna be close to 10k to get it fixed. So there goes our vacation and flip fund for the next year...

Thanks for all the coin info, I'll have to find a magnifying glass when I get home. It looks like the dimes are stamped with "A", but I'm not certain.

This just fell out of the wallet too!

There should be another tag with some codes. I think on older jackets it's on the side seam low on the inside.

Jackets from that line are being sold at ridiculous prices on Ebay, so make sure yours is legit.

It's been pretty dry around here, but today I managed to reunite an orphan with its long lost pants, and it's a good one.

While I was in NYC I picked up a solid navy Turnbull & Asser suit in my size, so I guess English stuff is just coming to me now...hope that continues.
