Not the first time Jk looks good man, glad it went to a good home
Depends on what your goal was. If it was to grab the newer WWM, then poorly; if you wanted to grab a great staple piece from the post-war era, then you did fantastic. Unfortunately they dont filp well from what I've seen.
Picked up a Schott Flight Jacket today and need some help dating it. There are no other tags inside the pockets or arm pits. How old do y'all think it is?
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
^^^ search "woolrich cruiser" to see how you did, also these are reasonably easy to date via the collar label.
That's fn crazy!!
Congrats! BTW you're going to be jonesing for weeks until the next good hit.
Speaking of Jonesing, the Audi was just not doing it for me, so I got my 2016 factory order Mercedes delivered today.
OK, just a new company van, but shit man, it's still a 2016 Mercedes. New "Metris" like a regular full size van, the Sprinters were way too big for what we needed. Did hit a couple stores on the way home with it though
This made my day though, let's call it "free with purchase"
Reached into a pocket of a seemingly well made coat, wanted to see if the maker was anyone of note. Pulled out the button package, cool. Then what I thought might be the satchel that holds the extra fabric, thread, etc, like on new Isaia (probably others too, but that's the only one I've ever found).
But the bag was light blue, and way too heavy for spare fabric. Blazer buttons?
Good to know. Thanks for the tip!
Especially to his part of the world!
Thats a dope haul in my size. PM sent.
What you have there is half of a pennsylvania tuxedo. Doesn't flip well, but cool as hell and great quality...in fact, pm inbound.
@drlivingston, I just got a chance to reply to your PM. Sorry for the delay
I haven't posted in a while, but I did find one thing that I thought was decent:
This for fun (what the heck is a bow tie club?)
And a pair of shoes that will fit my 9 year old in six months...for six months !!!
And this a week ago. Needs some cleaning, but in good shape.
Whew, take a week or two off for conference travel, suddenly 1600 posts. In the meantime, I did find this today:
which is apparently a thing. Hurray! It almost fits, too, but it's really short. I guess that's how they're supposed to fit? But it's really short (on me).
I don't know if this was answered or not but the line of fabric used is the model of the jacket (i.e. Trofeo, Heritage, 15milmil15 etc..). If there isn't an interior tag stating one of these names, than it isn't one of their specialty wools or fabric blends, it's just their basic wool which is still excellent. But names Trofeo and 15mil etc.. is all reference to fabric quality, type, or weave.
wtf, it's raining o.g. schott 674s these days?! i've seen like 3 or 4 posted in the last 24 hours. now i'll be expecting to see one in the racks
and yeah, motorcycle and flight jackets often run kinda fitted/cropped. pair em with 501s amigo, can't go wrong.
I think I've seen some Adrian Jules with that pattern on the lining.
That would be nice but unfortunately I think they're from a small local shop... I'm still amazed by all the handwork though. I'll post pictures it soon but its mind blowing. Maybe the small shop hired AJ to make them? Not sure but I'm going to call them tomorrow to find out
Separate names with a comma.
