Finally found my Barbour. Need to get the sleeves shortened a little bit. Grail achieved.

@Principle Love Voxtrot (though the EPs are way better than the album). Saw them in 2006 at a tiny venue and they were awesome.

You found that at a thrift? Wow.

I liked Voxtot when I was younger and used to skateboard. I still have a soft spot for some cute indie rock!

@drlivingston re: Bill's Khakis. PE firm bought them, if anything I would expect to see them try to increase presence of the brand in the market, as they are going to own the brand for a few years, grow it, then sell it along to someone else.

[IMG] The other albums are solid too. I got so sick of sorting through Herb Alpert, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and the like, I don't even bother with LPs anymore.

Had to pay up a bit for this, still worthwhile. Since a number of people go to estate sales, you may run into one of these. If you'd like to list it for sale, it will be worthwhile to know that it works. You can have them serviced, but it won't be cheap. Often, people will leave flints in them which get stuck. You can see that the flint holder is cracked on this one, but it still functions. If a flint is stuck, you can hopefully ream it out with something. If you're lucky, it will crumble. If it's packed tight, you can carefully use a drill bit. Other things to consider: if you fill it and it works, try it again the next day. If the seals are gone, the gas will escape. In this one, I had to remove the bottom valve (simply unscrew it) and unstick the small valve that allows you to fill it. It now works well but was sold to me at a discount "as-is."

Now, if you're like me, you have a google doc filled with copy/pasted info. When people give overviews/tutorials about camping gear, camo, Hawaiian shirts, t-shirts, vinyl, and anything else about which I am not knowledgeable, I add it to my google doc. The app for iPhone is searchable, so I can easily retrieve it as necessary.

Finally finally finally got in a decent run today and by a Thriftmas miracle, I was able to find something pretty awesome for my secret Santa, which hopefully I will be able to still get out on time. Also a pop on this, going to my sis. I can't believe how much this stuff is at retail. [IMG][IMG]

Also, welcome back horses-ass! Where ya been?

Another thing, I literally walked into some dudes hot fart cloud at one of my spots today. Like I literally felt the heat off of it. It was Terrible. It smelled so bad I dry heaved a little before I was able to escape it. But then I thought of klobber and it put a smile on my face.

    What?? Crazy solid haul!

Love that shit, it's like Christmas when I work down my backlog.

@Brianpore I think is the master of that.

Did you pull both sets of pockets inside out on that sweater? Usually there on a reversible.
    Love that t-neck

    Damn fine day!

This is a check box on the great scavenger hunt that is this thread, that I have yet to tick off.

I have a wardrobe most people (except everyone here) would envy. I have a back log of some of the finest (and some slightly less so) clothes in the world.
Yet, I have to restrain myself from shoving money through the interwebs at people here when they post baller stuff.

Love the pants and the jacket. Thanks for the tips on the document. I have one with all the labels, I should do that with every other good bit I pass by here.

My meager additions from this morning.

    Some recent finds

I was visiting family in Detroit for thanksgiving and hit a thrift on my way out of town. This is the first thing I see on the end of a rack in the men's section. I start thinking Detroit is some untapped goldmine.

Couple of other bits I picked up today. My baby daughter who was strapped to me (Baby Bjorn of course...snobs) did not enjoy thrifting as much as I did.

Ede and Ravenscroft shirt. Looks as new. 17" collar. Double cuffs. Unfused collar. Lightly lined. Made in England. Two fold cotton. Available.

J Crew button down. Fits me really well but the buttons are on the wrong side. Is it a wimmenz? Label says medium. Wanna keep it.

    Cheers all.
