This is a small amount of it. My wife only allows me this case. That's why I have crap stacked around it and on top. The rarest is the stuffed bear in the top shelf far right corner. He is the rarest he's the "first" stuffed bear from 1951. He is special as he is in mint condition with his badge and belt. He's in the 3k range alone. I only know one other collector with one.
One thing from today. Apparently the RRL gods are happy with me! Passed on the first Brioni I've seen -- kinda sucked but so did condition.
Now that's some Selvedge sandwich!
Yeah, and predictably not your size
that looks like a fire hazard to me.
Dating. Why?... If it's about all this stuff being in our living space, that stuff is stored in parts of the house that we rarely go into. Main living quarters are kept clean and neat ; )
Yeah I realize its a ton of money sitting there... Just hard to work on the huge stockpile like that, it's overwhelming. As for up front cost... most items we purchase for re-selling have a market value of at least 5-10x what we pay. So yeah that's a decent amount of money invested, but the returns are really good.
And you may be right about the Scrooge McDuck aspect. My dad grew up reading those comics, and is obsessed with amassing luxury items.
More stuff from today.
i'm sure i passed on this last weekend.
it's forever strange to see stuff in person and then see it on this thread.
