whatever happened with that Aero jacket ordered from Ukraine?

Ended up not being an Aero. Really not a bad jacket and fit well, so I didn't bother pursuing a case.

Timberland Boot Company (TBC) which is like Timberland heritage line. That's the Tackhead boot. Not a bad pickup if they were on the cheap. Retail when they came out was over 3 bills.

I believe these were Timberline, and I didn't buy them even though I was intrigued by them. Can anyone explain the idea of these boots to me? I've seen a lot of men's boots, but never anything like this. The toe cover area attaches to the lace-up portion about 2" from the cut edge. They look military, but again, the odd leather cap confuses me. There didn't seem to be a steel toecap inside.

Just passed the first block of 'real' med school. Cardiology and respiratory block. Saying this stuff is hard is an understatement. It's not really that hard, but you're getting tested on 20-25 hours worth of material, plus 10 hours of anatomy reading, plus 20 hours of dissection every 2-3 weeks. It's amazing how much you can learn when you're forced to do so.

I wouldn't say I did well, but we're true pass fail so there's not that much pressure. Still, just like with thrifting, I'm hoping to do better everytime I head out to do some damage.

I'm not as active on here anymore, but I really want to give a huge shoutout to @thriftydood for a fantastic trade of chelseas. I got a pair of boots I've been hunting down for YEARS. His boots go out to him in the mail tomorrow afternoon before I go to clinic.

Also, I just blew the last of the money I made by thrifting on motorcycle stuff. I'll post pictures of the work I'm doing on that over the next few weeks. Basically tricking the **** out of the bike I bought because it doesn't make sense to sell it and buy something more expensive using loan money... Also, it's a pretty stupid idea in general to get a 100hp bike with you've got 1500 miles of riding experience lol.

Hard to say but that stitching looks sloppy so better be safe than sorry.

Hm, that's a bummer, I was stoked when I saw it. The silk is very heavy, so heavy I was worried it was polyester, but it wasn't stretchy at all. Too bad there aren't any obvious tells like a Hermes tie checklist. Thanks for looking.

Not bad for 3.5 hours of work. Glasses are vintage Calvin Klein made in Japan. Versace tie was free - found it in the pocket of the Zegna suit. Leather horsehide at the end is 1973 NYPD issue. Good ****. Have a great weekend you guys. Everything available to those homies I owe for trades.

Definitely. I've seen some when I did research in spine surgery as well.

The story was almost always similar though. No gear, often no helmet, etc etc etc. I still haven't taken my bike on the highway and likely won't for a bit longer. It's certainly a fun way of getting around and exploring the area, but I'm actually pretty risk averse.
