On the subject of holes - I picked up a beautiful size 46 RLBL suit last month with a few moth holes. If anyone wants to try having it fixed I'll send it for cost.

Have any of you ever seen this effect done to a Bill Blass button-down shirt? The tag is ironed in; there is a stamp over the tag that may say 'Je' or 'de', and the airplane and birds were clearly applied or bleached out after the shirt was assembled, because the effects cross existing seams perfectly. I'm inclined to think it's an artist's OOAK (one of a kind) aftermarket mod, but the stamp over the label reminds me of artist chopmarks on Blue Fish clothing (for women).

Ships has been around since the 70's. They are like the United arrows, uniqlo, and such but with better quality with their ivy league look. I want to say their quality is on par or even better than journal standard. Good Kopp!

Speaking of journal standard, i koped a js homestead which is their Americana military inspired in house line, garbadine waterproof military coat from unionmade archive sale. They ended up sending me the wrong size. I got a full refund and i get to keep the coat. They didn't even asked for it back. They also gave me free shipping for my next regular Kopp. Sweet!

This is not the first time I have heard something like this here. Do the thrifts (particularly the chains,) go through the clothing and remove damaged items by you? Here in DFW I would venture to say that only the one or two higher end private thrifts do this and of course they are charging a higher price. I would venture to say that many, if not most of the items I see on a daily basis are damaged beyond everyday wear to include holes, tears, serious stains, etc. Hell, I probably leave ten times more sweaters than I buy because of moth holes. Just curious to see what it is like in other places.

I've seen shredded shirts with $20 price tags. I think a lot of the pricers (for the shops who price based on perceived worth) only focus on the label and ignore the condition of the item. Some thrifts around here will price based on condition and write 'as is' on the tag.

The goodwill stores around me for sure don't want damaged items on the floor but they don't search that hard for holes.

Must be perspective. Or in even tile. They are the same height.
