1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

So, I knew I was missing a few... Found these in the wrong box as was taking more photos this morning. Here's the remainder of glasses worth posting.

Are these first two pairs the right kind of vintage?

Well its a strange store, its the swedish church that runs the store, its located in the richest part of town (like 100 meters from Zlatan Ibrahimovics old megamansion) and they actually doesnt charge for the clothes if you dont want to, but its kinda frowned upon not to pay heh, still 5$ a pair is nice. They want people in need to pick up the stuff, but noone knows about the store so mostly just old rich people hanging out there. I expect great things from the store, this was just a hint:)

Oh and yes socialist, like me:)

Well as I noticed I had grabbed two odd shoes I webt back. The missing shoes wasnt there so I exchanged my odd pair for a black pair of austerity brouge boots. If im lucky the donor notices his mistake and hands in the odd pair, and I can buy them later.

There wasn't much to miss, just said "I'm back"

    Funny story.

Last Thursday I had to go pick up Mia's ashes and decided to hit one crappy spot on the way there. I was on the phone with my dad when I pulled up and sat in the car with the engine running while I finished the convo. Out of the corner of my eye I saw some guy approaching the passenger side of the car, with seeming purpose. He caucasian (of course, its Gettysburg), and was dressed somewhat thuggish. Having watched a ton of Sons of Anarchy lately and being only about 100 yards from the local prison my mind began to imagine horrible things. He opened the back passenger door and slid into the seat, shutting the door behind him. I put on my most intimidating face (my "you jumped the rack on me and found Brioni" face) and yelled, "What do you think you are doing?!"

My would-be mugger looked up, startled, with near-tears in his eyes. He had gotten in the wrong car by mistake. His elderly grandparents were parked two spaces over. He apologized several times before leaving.

I did not find anything at the store.

Breifly, in short style wise your on the right track, the first line I would never fuck with because the market for Ted Lapidus is a flat out complete mystery that I have not to this day been able to dissect and figure out. I know all about it, vintage shit, the haute diffusion line, and then the mens haute coutrue boutiuque which was the primo shit being made in Italy, on of the first courterirers making mens RTW...but the market is so fucking unpredictable and weird for the stuff that I quit even trying to understand a while ago...i think because so much licesnsing occored as well, that it really cheapened the brand and although, if known for sure, and I even have a suit of this line, the Lapidus Primo is supposed to be worth bank but reaching a market for it is impossible. Wimminz was always Italian made and I've seen shit like leather jackets taht are vintage for around 500 or so on ebay, but thats asking price not selling...long story short, Lapidus plays a fairly significant role as far as mens designer fashion history is concerned and with that said, should never be bought hahaha...unless for personal use obviously...

The second pair, I don't know the brand but those definitely look like vintage frames.....but lemme offer up a little bit of advice before you keep on spurlging on all this vintage glasses

do a tad bit more research, because yes the designer matters, originality as far as source of production geographically speaking matters, their condition plays a great role...but theres also the factor of the frames themselves.... sunglass frames like Jackie O's for example, or a pair of 1980s Oliver Peoples Circle frames...iconic frame designs are another thing you wann be on the lookout for. I had about 4 pairs of vintage Jackie Os after Jackie Onassis and the glassis she was famous for always wearing, and OP invented that frame, and obviously there are the iconic models as well like your carreras and such, but the vintage frame game is a bit more intricate and complicated then it may seem at first....like basic readers are whatever and honestly not worth the money cuz who wants a collection of basic readers, you want loud shit, vintage Cazal Run DMC type shit, big frames, lots of gold, 70s mobster shit, iconiic looks that will bring the market but research frame styling so you truly know what your looking at if its something special that's something I luckily did that landied me with a few real special pieces...I wouldnt have a clue what the fuck you would mean if you said Jackie O frames to me otherwise, but a little research and that day I pick up my first pair, black vintage Paul smith made in japan Jackie Os, realized that that strategy made sense a a great deal of levels.

Get over the Lapidus pass, trust me, that's a road no one deserves to go down, I've been there, deep deep down there, and it leads fucking nowhere, blessing in disguise...

did the donor bless you with his full suit? or did he fuck you over like the donor did me yesderay with a pair of pinstripe Anderson Sheppard pants and not a fucking jacket in sight...still bothering the shit out of me today...where the hell could it be...the idea that it was so underpriced and the time of the year and I'm automatically thinking some bought it to make something out of cuz it probably woulda been priced at 5-10 bucks, and this thought is haunting me.

More deets on the pinstriped A&S? Found a orphaned pin stripe A&S jacket the other day. Would be unlikely to be a match, but stranger things have happened.

I think I'm caught up on PMs. I'm normally very careful about lists like these as I don't want to miss a name. However, I added a few last night when I was tired and caught a mistake or two today. Please double (or triple) check for your name below.

No worries on that, I was just reading through the info on collecting my Kindergeld as soon as my child is born. :nodding:

@[email protected]: Great furniture finds. I've been looking for a big, old, heavy chesterfield anything for years. I finally found a beautiful burgundy leather chair that was made in England. It was in Vienna and wouldn't fit in my car. By the time I called back to go with a bigger car, it had been sold.
